Gower Street has a walkable score of 98! It is mere steps to all of the history, fine dining, shopping and nightlife that St. John's is known for. Stroll through the colourful Battery at the entrance to St. John's harbour. Or hike Signal Hill, a national historic site with stunning coastal and city views (and sometimes icebergs, if you're lucky!). At the top of Signal Hill is the iconic Cabot Tower, where Marconi received the first trans-Atlantic wireless message. You can also see Cabot Tower from my living room and from the patio! Everything you need for a memorable visit to St. John's is at your fingertips, at this Gower Street gem!

The living room has a leather sofa, two armchairs, several accent tables, a 50 inch 4k TV, a very comfortable queen Murphy bed and a cozy workspace ('murphy' desk). There is a Tivoli audio model one AM/FM radio with Bluetooth for your music and great sound. Everything is new. The painting is by artist Christina Bergstrom.
The kitchen has all the amenities: new stainless steel appliances, including a convection oven, a Bosch dishwasher, new cookware, cutlery, dishes and glassware. There is an espresso machine and a French press coffee maker. There is also a drip coffee maker if needed. The kitchen is in the 'Parisian' style with a Parisian table and bentwood chairs. Olive oil, salt and pepper, ground coffee, cream and milk and sugar, sparkling water and a welcome bottle of wine is provided for your enjoyment.
The bathroom has a washer and dryer, a rainwater shower head and luxurious towels. The large mirror has a built in light and de-fogger and there is a 10x lit make-up mirror. Two bathrobes are provided, along with a basket of 'essentials' (in case you forgot something), and locally produced TVAL bath and hair products.
The bedroom has a new California king bed, a new mattress, luxurious linens, a 65 inch 4k TV, a mid-century inspired credenza and a Wassily chair. There is plenty of storage in the closet, credenza and side tables and there is a barn door for privacy.
There is a patio off of the kitchen with a view of Cabot Tower, and a partial view of the Narrows and St. John's harbour.
Just a few doors down are several grocery/convenience stores, including Food for Thought and Halliday’s Meats, both on Gower Street. Moo Moos Ice Cream and Coffee Matters are also a short walking distance and on King’s Road.
>Bus: St. John's Metrobus operates several routes in the area.
>Taxi: available for convenient point-to-point transportation including the airport. Call or download the app to reserve.
>Walking: If the spots you're visiting are within walking distance, walking might be the most convenient option.
>Driving: While not required to explore the city, having a vehicle can be advantageous for visiting the outport communities surrounding St. John's.
Parking is with one Parking Pass and usually parking just out front is available.
Snow removal is the responsibility of the guest if snowing during their stay. We try our best to have the snow removed before check-in.
The unit is on the 2nd floor (Suite 2) of a 3-level building and requires one flight of stairs. Long-term tenants live on the main floor and 3rd level.
