Disappointed
I wanted to stay somewhere a little quirky and thought that this place would be ideal. There was a very steep lane on arrival. The hut shown in the picture is not the one we were in. We were under the impression that there was only one hut but we spotted 4 altogether. The reason I wanted the one in the photo was because it was close to the toilets as I have a stomach/digestion disorder and have to use the toilet during the night. We arrived about 4pm, unpacked the car and had a Quick Look around before it started to get dark. Toilets were further away than expected and the lights to guide you on the path were not working properly, thank goodness for my mobile phone torch. I was not happy trying to get to the toilets during the night with not much light and stepping in a large puddle which made things worse. The light above the door to the hut stayed on all night and there were no curtains across which I found very difficult to go to sleep. The hut was also on a building site with machinery down one end. This wasn’t as idyllic as I thought. We were only staying the one night and left at 7.30am, I didn’t bother even to have a shower as we only live 1.5 hours away. Apart from all this the place was clean with everything that you need was in it. Don’t go here when the weather is miserable and check that the building work has been finished and the lights work. Not suitable for small children. On a sunny day it would probably be okay.
