This is an older facility and I loved it A taste of old St Augustine. Staff was seen constantly checking the property, scooping up even leaves that blew in, talking with guests and delivering extra supplies. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staying at the Flagger Inn was the best part of my visit to St. Augustine.

I don’t know where the positive reviews for this place are coming from, because our room was beyond filthy. There were bedbugs and cockroaches, bloody stains on the sheets, bug droppings on the mattress cover, food crumbs, and what looked like old bodily fluids. The sheets were so dirty it made my skin crawl. Two other guests checking out behind me were complaining about the same things, so this isn’t just a one-off situation. The staff didn’t care, didn’t apologize, and didn’t seem remotely concerned about the conditions or the health risk. This place is nothing like what’s being advertised online. It was disgusting, unsafe, and unhygienic. I would never stay here again and I hope future guests take these reviews seriously.

Our room was not ready when we arrived. There was a dehumidifier running when we went in. No hot water in the shower. We were told they controlled the water heater so now one would get burned. The sinks had hot water? We had one light burned out over the bed and a bad light switch that would not turn lights off over the sink. We had to sleep with lights on. We were treated like they didn't need or want our business. After getting your permission to credit us back for the remainder of our stay. They recharged us for 2 nights on my Capital One card on Jan. 3rd & 4th. I reached out to them and I have received a credit for those nights. We did try the breakfast and were not pleased. They ran out of fresh items such as fruit and creamers. When we asked to have more coffee made. It seemed like we were inconveniencing the hostess. She did not even notify us of it being ready. The manager was very unfriendly as well. If your not happy you are free to take your business else where. And we did. out of 5 stars they deserve a negative-5.

Picked for location but turned out wrong. Place is at a major traffic intersection. Plus there was a railroad crossing across the street. 3 or 4 trains a night. Loud car's passing by. Big mistake no one mentioned this in prior reviews. Room was comfortable and clean. Asked for quick cleaning 2nd of 3 day stay they never showed up!

Easy and fast check-in/out. Staff was nice and helpful. The stay includes breakfast, although it needs to improve the variety. The room was ok, but the floor was dirty, you couldn’t walk on your bare feet without getting them black and dirty. Also, the only put 2 towels for 3 guests in a 3 night stay, not enough. Parking included, that’s a plus. Not far from the center, 10min drive.

Staff nice and super helpful. Anything I requested, they helped with a friendly service. For the room, I’d give 3 stars. Cabinets were a bit dusty, some towels were old and yellow. Shower curtain needs to be washed and bleach. However being a pet friendly room, it smelled great and fresh. Thank you!

Rooms smell of mold, no hot water in the shower for all 3 days, 2 of the days they claimed to be waiting for breakfast, all they had was bread and margarine, nothing else.extremely rude manager, when asked about breakfast and housekeeping is also rude, ran out of toilet paper, when i asked for tissue. Because they didn't provide any, the housekeeping gal she needs to see none was in the room, so when i ran out of toilet paper, i didn't ask for more The minisplit A/C isn't suitable for the room, only heats right underneath it, the rest of the room is cold, and its filthy beyond words Health department needs to be notified

The check in process was a bit annoying. As we arrived and went to check in, the counter person was not there and had to be called in order to get us situated. The room was less than clean and the bathroom gave me anxiety due to it's lack of cleanliness. The sheets had stains and nothing looked like it was cleaned with a purpose. I wouldn't book this motel again for future stays.

Property was in a great area - in the historic part of St. Augustine - but this is more of a motel than a hotel. Bathroom tub was dirty with hair and mold. Bathroom sink had mold. The mini refrigerator was dirty. The towels were paper thin and stained. The pillows were horrible. The chair in the room had a huge stain on it. Basically everything about the hotel was terrible except for the location and parking. I was very uncomfortable and disgusted and didn’t want to touch anything. Barely wanted to sleep on the bed. I ended my stay early because I could not stand staying in that motel another day. The woman at the front desk told me that I could cancel and get a refund for my last night and I am still waiting for my refund and final invoice which they never provided.

The front door scratched on the floor hard to close. The bathroom door was scraping the bottom side and peeling apart. Told maintains person. The room was clean but bathroom/shower needs updating. The breakfast was just OK.
