1880 Victorian In Heart Of Downtown...charming And Cozy

Best of both worlds with upscale renovations and old St Augustine charm. This Victorian home was built in 1880 and is located within the heart of the Historic District. A few years ago, I fully renovated the private residence into 3 separate apartments, each fully contained with its own private entrance, kitchen and full bath. This newly renovated first floor apartment has 1 queen bed in a private bedroom along with a sectional couch in the living room. Bikes offer you the opportunity to leave the car parked and see the city by walking or riding. Bikes are available from a bike share rack one block away and a great alternative for transportation around the city.

Enjoy the many restaurants to choose from all within a five minute walk from your front door. Additionally, the shopping and sightseeing is just around the corner. Plan to spend the day sightseeing and walk back to unwind on the front porch with glass of wine before getting ready for the evening fun.

If you've come to enjoy St Augustine's beautiful beaches you're only a ten minute drive away. Crescent Beach lies to the south a few miles for those looking to relax on a quiet beach, or join the crowds on St. Augustine Beach with a fishing pier and many great restaurant options.

Was a super cute, very convenient property. Pretty walkable. Comfortable bed. Had everything we needed for our stay and our host was very accomidating. The only thing some may consider a downside is the off property parking, which is in the parking garage not terribly far away. They do have a loading area in front of the property though. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for a weekend away!

My best friend and I had a girl's weekend and stayed here. The location is right in the middle of anywhere you need to go. We could walk everywhere. The room was clean and inviting and the host was very responsive.

Perfect getaway

Quaint little unit, perfect size for a couple. All the furniture was in great shape. Very quiet neighborhood close walk to all the events. When it rain yesterday afternoon, it was very relaxing to sit on the front porch and listen to the rain and watch the people walking in the rain.

We visit St Augustine every year for the Festival of Lights…..have stayed on the water at ‘The best of the best’ - have stayed at B and Bs- have stayed at the best of hotels. There is no beating 1800 Victorian for locations and the accomodations. We plan on staying here every year from now on. Happened to meet the owner while checking out- kind and gracious. Perfect location, modern inside, historic outside

The location couldn't be any better for exploring St Augustine historic district on foot. The apartment was perfect for our needs. Our 8 y/o slept on the couch and was fine with that. The inside looks recently remodeled and very clean. Only thing that was a bit annoying was the walk to parking garage in the summer heat. However, we didnt need a vehicle for most of our stay since the main attractions are all walking distance. We will be recommending this Vrbo to all our friends/family.

First time to St Augustine

My wife and I visited for three nights/four days in October. The good about this property - communication and info was readily available; priced well for location and size; location is very convenient to the main part of old St Augustine. The place was generally clean and had good coffee (lots of Kirkland Keurigs). Couch was comfortable and we felt safe at the location. Front porch was readily accessible and had good rocking chairs. Code access. Wishes - Parking situation is not ideal but doable (and no cost) - but you need to be able to walk a distance (10 mins for us). Tub is in a unique spot in the house and makes for a short space - makes the curtain super long and stays looking dirty. Front porch was nice except you look at the parking lot and backs of buildings. Overall we enjoyed the stay and had read the other reviews - so we knew what to expect and there were no surprises for us. St Augustine was nice to visit!

In heart of historic St Augustine

So easy to find. Parking right at the house. Self-service entry and check-in but owner right on hand by text and phone. Very attentive. Two room apartment with bath. Each room large. All modern comforts provided and more. Great modern decor, comfy sofa, large TV, plenty of dishes, cups, glasses etc, wine and cheese on arrival a nice touch, bed VERY comfy and lots of pillows and plenty of towels and wash cloths. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided by dispenser in shower was very welcome as I forgot to pack all that stuff LoL. Next time won't need to :) A great location...very close to EVERYTHING. We parked the car on Monday and didn't use it again until we left on Thursday. The air handler's a little noisy at night, but we had a great experience and will stay here again.

Ringo Starr concert

We chose 78 Spanish street because of it's location, charm and affordability. We had some minor hiccups but Greg was very easy to reach and made sure the issues were handled expediently. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future.
