Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Trans-Himalayan region between India and Tibet. Reaching here takes almost 12 hours of off-road drive from last inhabited town. In this middle of nowhere land, lies a 1000 year old monastery Kye Gompa, which is home to a few hundred Monks. It's hard to comprehend that so many years back few humans actually managed to reach here and made it their home. As Rudyard Kipling once said "It's a world within a world", it's surely a place where god lives.

Definitely I wouldn’t go back to this hotel

"Room was not as clean as I expected . Lots of hair laying around under quilt cover. I had to ask housekeeper to change bedsheets and quilt cover. There was this horrible smell in the bathroom. Food quality needs to be improved. Staff were helpful but communication problems due to language "
