Bad experiences were with the carpet condition/ cleanliness on the common floors and with the front desk staff. While the experience with the front desk could have been better, the Cafeteria staff was friendly though. Had a problem with the car parking.
The breakfast experience was the best.

Pretty hotel room but there were a couple of things I didn’t like. The smudges on the desk and the fact that the smudges came off when I started cleaning… I don’t feel the room was cleaned as well as it should have been. Generally, I sanitize any room I stay in. Though, I am usually sanitizing a spotless room.
This hotel might also have plumbing issues. The smell of the bathroom filled the room, it was pretty unpleasant. The property just needs some upgrades.
I have to say, the staff is wonderful. We only spent one night but they were extremely hospitable. Also, I had the best little croissants and cappuccino at breakfast time!

Honestly, the only "bad" thing that comes to mind is perhaps a few more options for breakfast, though I understand the space was limited.
Other than that, I commend the staff first and foremost for their flexibility and kindness.

"I really enjoyed my time at Hotel Rubenshof. I found all members of staff very helpful and professional. In a way it was like being at home.
