Villa Giada was a wonderful place to stay to explore Sorrento and the Amalfi peninsula. It was just as the listing said, plenty of space for two people and a lovely, small kitchen, as well as a beautiful view of Sorrento Bay and Mt Vesuvius across the water. We loved the private pool that provided a welcome afternoon respite (though at this time of year, the water was chilly - 74°F).
We used the Villa as a base to drive around to Positano/Amalfi/Ravello. Note: the drive is not for the faint of heart - lots of S curves, vespas and mopeds everywhere (and they pass you on the left, driving right into the oncoming lane!!). That said, the views of the Amalfi Coast are beautiful. Near the Villa, the towns of Sant’Agata and Massa Lubrense had great places to eat, and provided a break from the mad throngs of tourists that literally swarm all over the peninsula.
I highly recommend a stay at Villa Giada!
