Solomon’s Tower

Great hotel staff. Good location. A little bit of noisy neighbors. But overall great choice.

Fabulous hotel and in a very convenient place for the train station. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, although on the warm side (air con was not available during the month of October it seems and so didn’t cool the room). We were able to open the window to cool the room, but needed it closed at night to allow us to sleep without the outside noise. Only problem was that meant that the room warmed up again during the night. Nothing too uncomfortable, and didn’t stop us sleeping, but certainly worth noting. Breakfast was fabulous each day and the staff were friendly and helpful. 20 min or so walking distance to Ruins bars and river. If you need good access to the train station as we did, we would certainly recommend this hotel.

The best thing about the hotel is its location, only a stones throw from the 100E Airport bus stop in central Budapest. There is a downside to this, as the traffic noise is sometimes intrusive. Still, when you're so close to the best the capital can offer it's worth it. The in-room facilities are basic, but the staff are super helpful and the shower efficient. An alternative to the pod-coffee machine would have been good, but the Lisboa cafe is directly outside, just down a flight or two of stairs.
