I deliberately chose this cottage because it offered (unusually) a walk-in shower and an enclosed garden. The cottage sleeps six and therefore seemed inexpensive so I didn't have expectations of luxury. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised a the level of comfort. On arrival, heat greeted us from central-heating radiators and there was a large jug of milk in the fridge and home-made cookies on the table. In addition to normal cooking facilities, the cottage comes equipped with a microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Two comfortable sofas and a firm bed enabled us to relax in the evening after days walking our socks (and paws) off. True, there was no wi-fi but, courtesy of the hotspot on our phones, we managed to stay connected. The lovely old stripped oak furniture in the bedrooms might not be to everyone's taste, but it very definitely suited us! Dog walks on the doorstep were a definite bonus. The cottage might suit a party of active adults or a family on a budget.
