"Bare bones, but perfectly adequate hotel if you just want a bed, a hot shower and a little TV (didn’t check the WIFI, but Verizon worked fine in the room anyway). Easy parking, friendly front desk person. I’d stay again. (Fridge and microwave were also handy). "

"Everything was great. Only downside for me was the showerhead in the room didn't have a setting that was ideal for thicker hair. I'm not sure if there are low-flow water restrictions in Virginia, but there most volume I could get was on the light spray plus jet massage setting, and it just wasn't very effective. My hair is on the thicker side of average, not super thick, and my shower time was a lot longer than normal. I can't imagine how something with truly thick hair would ever get their scalp clean or hair rinsed."
"We had nice pleasant stay at the River Front Retreat. Everything was provided to make the stay comfortable. Property was friendly and was fast and easy to contact. I highly recommend the place for a relaxing getaway. "
"If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain retreat surrounded by the sounds of nature and a short drive from beautiful horse and wine country this is your place! The cabin itself is very rustic and well appointed with a great front porch that’s perfect for sipping your morning coffee. We appreciated the unique artwork and decor as well. If you want to step out for an easy breakfast, lunch or dinner there’s a great store and restaurant called the Apple House just a ten minute drive away but the cabin has everything you would need if you wanted to stay in and cook instead. Great place! "
"We really enjoyed this home. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of towels left for us. We especially loved the screened in porch which also had plenty of seating for family time. The home is not only beautiful inside but also on the outside with nice landscape and attention to detail. The owner was very accommodating and had great communication. We will definitely stay here again while visiting family, "
