Bang
It was ok for price. Problems with internet connection. The local surrounding area is nice
Basically the price is cheap and OK for stay. Unfortunately, the hotel maid knocked my door 2 times when I was asleep. By 8PM when I was slept to prepare watching EURO 2016, a lady not wearing uniform and just held a so call ID and asked for a hair dryer. I said I did not see any in the room and she insisted to look for herself. Then came 10pm, another maid with uniform came again and asked for the same thing. It is ridicules that there was no communication in this hotel and I wondered they only have one hair dryer for the whole floor.
Worst stay at a hotel in my whole life. Right from the check in. Nobody there speaks english (neither of the day/night receptionists) to begin with. Not possible to communicate. Hotel is LAME. Absolutely disgusting. Smell is horrible. Smell of the room made me want to vomit. Couldnt stand sleeping in those conditions it really smells like mold in the room and in the whole building. Cigarette buds scattered around the place. Carpet torn. Room not clean at all, mold and dirt pretty much everywhere.
Room key did not work (it turned out the receptionist set it up for a different room when I checked in, at 2 AM). The housekeeper opened the door for me and just told me to "sleep and we will see that tomorrow" ... So I was stuck in a hotel room with no key to get it. The worst part of my stay was definitely the smell of the room. They neverrrr air out the freaking room !! I initially booked 2 nights but figured I couldnt stay longer in that hotel so I left and spent the 2nd night elsewhere. Obviously I did not get refunded for the night I did not spend, to top it all of. Worst hotel experience ever. And hotels.com rated it "fair" (with 2.3/5 ... I should have double checked) If this is "fair" I can safely guess that hotels.com standards are extremely twisted. Anyway stay away from this hotel. Really
this hotel is very old and dirty. it was itchy in a bed. i think there are some bedbugs.the room i stayed has sockets but no electricity. so i had to change the room. most staffs can't speak english. it's hard to communicate with them. i recommend you to stay lian bang if you want to see other's curly hairs on a bath.
I first booked two nights at Lian Bang, for a double room with a view. One of the front desk people had enough English to help me check in easily. I was pretty sure something had gone wrong, though, when I got to my room and definitely had one of the bargain business suites, with no window. I went back to the desk and told them, and they gave me a new room key. This room was much cozier, and had a window overlooking the Zhizaoju Rd as well as a very decent bathroom. It also had a layer of dirt about 5 in wide all around the floor, threadbare towels, and garbage between the bed and the wall that nobody had noticed.
The next afternoon, I was relaxing in my room enjoying the fast (but often disconnected) wifi when someone came to my door, rubbing her fingers together and saying "Money." She radioed the English-speaking admin, who told me that I hadn't paid and had to leave. I was astonished and showed her my Expedia booking again. Eventually she said "Ok, I think you are right" and left.
I booked four more nights. On my last day, the maid came an hour before checkout and did the money-fingers thing again...and again right at checkout. She radioed the front desk, and pushed me(!) toward the ringing phone, where someone said "check out" a few times. I was nearly packed when she came back 45 mins later & radioed someone, who used a translator app to tell me that I hadn't paid enough. I showed her my bags and said I was flying home that night. 30 mins later I was gone.
I'm sorry i can't give a better explanation of this hotel! WORSE, did you ever smell 100 wet dogs? Ever smell a Public Toilet that isn't clean for 3 weeks? Ok put them together and you have the smell of this hotel... All over, every room, every hallway! I was checked in, within 30min i was checked out. The door of my room was a wooden plate, around 2cm thick. In evening went to supermarket, man walk around you and looking at you. I didn't feel safe
You definitely get what you pay for! It was fine for us as we had a quick weekend trip and didn't stay in the hotel much, but don't expect too much! It was dirty and old, but the location is good. Fine if you're just in for a quick trip!
