Mountain Getaway is a Tiny Home in Wears Valley!

Mountain Getaway is a Tiny Home! It may be only 400 sq ft but it packs all the amenities that you need for your stay in the Smoky Mountains. This Tiny Home has a small fire ring outside with a park grill and a picnic table so you can enjoy the outdoors. You can also relax on the deck and listen to the frogs in the nearby creek. As you go inside the Tiny Home to the left of the front door there is wraparound seating with a dining table. The TV is located above the table. The couch and coffee table is to the right of the door. Walking straight into the Tiny Home is the kitchen that is fully stocked with all items to eat in if you so desire. To the right of the kitchen is a stacked washer and dryer. There is a hall closet to hang clothing or to store away your luggage. The bathroom has a standup shower (no tub). The bedroom has a king bed and more storage. In the living room take the stairs up to a loft where there is also a king mattress and TV (the overall headroom is 3 feet) it would be an ideal spot for young children or your teenagers. At the top of the stairs on the left is a small storage area for
the loft area.

Ups & Downs but still enjoyed it

Things we liked: Place was so cute and cleanClose proximity to everything Mountain ViewCozy and warm Loved the electric fireplaceFire pit outside for bonfire & s’mores Nice porch furniture Things we did not like: Main bed was not comfortable (too hard)Loft bed is betterDidn’t realize hot water runs out so fast in tiny homes (less than 10 minutes) Have to take really quick showers and space them out between each person taking them to allow hot water to build back up. Breakers tripped about 4 times during our stay. At first thought something was wrong with the fireplace bc it wouldn’t come on. Realized it was the breaker. It happened several more times.

Rarely how it looks, or is priced for

Besides, the hyper filtered photos, which were literally a different color on the inside, and the perspective, not capturing the fact that the top of the stairs is about 3 feet tall only, the awkward and not very helpful interaction with the property management company with my questions, And the fact that each unit is super close (cramped for my taste or I would’ve found somewhere else), but someone looking has no way to know that, it was a good area, clean, cool set up, and comfy with blinds closed. Overpriced I think

I went into this home to try living in a tiny house on my vacation. This was so much better than anything I ever could have expected. The home was beautiful, comfortable, well designed, and the staff was amazing. With everything from dining reservations to who made the furniture in the front porch. Just an amazing and restful vacation. Well Done!

Great little getaway

We had an amazing stay at this tiny house. Its perfect for 2 people or even a couple with kiddos. The game table was super fun. My 50 year old hubby loved playing chutes and ladders. This was a super quiet area and we would definitely stay again. We will say it was probably the cleanest place weve ever stayed! Thank you for the perfect getaway.

Amazing Rental

We had an outstanding stay at this location. House was very clean and elegant. We did not have any issues with the hot water. My son loved the he upstairs and gaming table. I hope this rental is available next time we come.

Great family vacation!

This place was perfect for us! Nice and cozy. The view is amazing! Did not have to drive up a steep mountain to get to it which was great, especially since lots of roads were frozen the day we arrived. The game table was a huge hit! Our girls, 10 & 11, really enjoyed the room upstairs! The breaker did trip a couple times, but everything came right back once it was flipped. Had to take about 5 minute showers each, 2 one night and 2 the next morning, because the hot water did not last very long. Maybe look into a tankless water heater? I’m spoiled at home with mine, that’s for sure, lol. We did go to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg while we were there, but Wears Valley also offers a few things to enjoy as well! Highly recommend breakfast at “Grandma’s Kitchen” which you could even walk to. Also, Tennessee Shine Co is right down the road and has some very unique and great tasting moonshine! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

Tiny and Tremendous

We loved our stay at Mountain Getaway from the moment we walked in the door. It is a perfect distance from Pigeon Forge and Townshend with a great porch where you can take in the beautiful view of the mountains and star gaze at night. We were close to our our favorite breakfast spot, Hillbillies, the park entrance in Townsend, Wild Laurel golf course, and the gorgeous Foothills parkway. We loved fishing in the pond on the Happy Hollow road property where my husband and I caught several bluegill, red ear and even a bass. Our tiny home was cozy and comfortable and we can't wait to return next fall!

Excellent Location and Cabin

The cabin and property are excellently maintained. It's a nice 10-20 minute drive to almost any part of the Seiverville/Gatlinburg area depending on traffic. My only complaint would be the Wifi, it was in a constant state on going in and out. A bit frustrating when you're trying to wind down for the evening and surf the internet. But beyond that it was an amazing location and hassle-free.

Great location

The tiny home was perfect. It was very clean and we were amazed on how roomy it was for being a tiny home. The location was also great, there was a lot to see without having to get on the crowded Parkway. It was easy to get to Cades Cove also. The only thing that disappointed me was that I was told it had a well stocked kitchen, but that’s not true. It does have a set of dishes and flatware for 4 along with glasses and a nice set of pots. There is also a few cooking utensils but no sharp knives. The home could use a cookie sheet, a colander and serving bowls to make it perfect. Over all we had a wonderful stay and will be returning sometime soon.

Perfect family spot

We came for our sons World Series with three children and it was great. I saw in past post that there were no dishes, but they do have some now. Only complaint would be the mattress are really hard, but overall great experience and location couldn’t be better! Will definitely be back.

Affordable, clean, and quiet.

For the money, I was extremely satisfied with the accommodations. The unit was almost spotless. The resort grounds are peaceful and quiet. The views are not bad at all. The location in Wears Valley is desirable for those who don't want to be in the middle of the chaos, but still have easy access to both the tourist towns and the National Park.

Cozy Retreat

Overall the experience was great, however the gaming table quit working and we called the manager who said they would send someone to take a look. We waited and no one showed. No biggie though, overall it was great and we enjoyed there area. Would definitely go back!

The cabin was very clean. The day we arrived, the shower clogged right away but the office sent someone from maintenance swiftly and he fixed it. He was very, very nice! We barely had hot water on a daily basis, if any....that made it difficult for 3 of us to shower. Based on the VRBO description, I was expecting the fishing pond to be at our location, not at a sister location. Also based on the pictures I was expecting more space around us, not so close to other cabins and campers.

Great tiny home. It was just the right size for us for the week. We absolutely loved it! The location was in an area we always wanted to stay. Weekend Getaway

Had a very nice stay in the Mountain Getaway tiny home. Stayed with our two teen/tween kids, who loved the privacy of the loft. Close to restaurants and entertainment but still in the country; Pigeon Forge was a 10-15 minute drive down the road and Gatlinburg was about 30 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect hidden gem

This was the perfect place to stay 10 min from pigeon forge and we were out of the crowds. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. We loved the tiny house and even cooked dinner and break fast a few nights while we were there. ❤️ We will definitely be back!

Amazing view!

We absolutely loved our stay. The view is breath taking and the tiny home was perfect. It was easy to get to and extremely quiet all the time. Very relaxing and peaceful. We have found our favorite spot and we will be back!
