Beautiful cozy cottage fully fenced near town and springs
8/10 Good
"Great location near Poe Springs and the downtown area of High Springs. The bed was so comfy! Large enough space for a small family. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the provided snacks and toiletries. It took a little bit to find the TV remote (it was in the couch cushions) and the dining table only had three chairs. It was a little concerning that the key only fit one of the back door locks. Since there is little to do in High Springs at night, it would have been nice to have some games or puzzles available. Overall, a great stay for our short kayaking trip."
"It is a nice little hotel, convenient for what we needed, (a night to be able to rest, get up early the next day and leave). The stuff were very friendly and helpful. I would Not recommended it for a long stay nor for a family vacation. The area is not great, the hotel needs some upgrades, the carpets specially need to be changed. Also, you can’t get a hold of anyone after they close the lobby, you are kind of on your own after they leave."
"Our overnight stay at High Springs Country Inn was a very pleasant change of pace from your typical chain accommodations. The staff were welcomjng and made sure we had everything we needed. The property had ample parking and is well maintained from the rooms to the grounds with a rustic kind of charm. The Inn is a great choice if you're visiting the area for diving or other springs related activities and you need a clean, local place to spend the night. It should be noted that while there is an ice machine and a vending machine for soft drinks, and a single cup coffee maker and dorm style refrigerator in the room, you'll want to be prepared to find food and coffee somewhere in town with many fine options a short walking distance from the Inn."
Cabin on Sante Fe Inlet in Three River Estates (walking distance to park)
10/10 Excellent
"I enjoyed my stay at this cabin. It is simple but has everything you need, and was *very* clean. I especially enjoyed the partially covered back deck which was great for lounging on the rainy days during my stay. Be aware there is currently no WiFi, which was not a problem for me."
Ichetucknee Springs/Ginnie Springs/Santa Fe River at the Hideaway Cottage
10/10 Excellent
"Hideaway Cottage is a gem located on a scenic stretch of the Santa Fe River. Mike and Laura are very attentive to detail and offer a wonderful chance to enjoy one of the most beautiful parts of Florida. If you enjoy fishing, wildlife, scenery, and peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The cottage is spotless and full of charm, with a comfortable bed and a wonderful shower. Be sure to float down the Ichetucknee Springs River through the State Park — it’s breathtaking and only minutes away from the cottage. Try the Farm Stand (also just minutes away) for some great Mexican food. My wife and I feel lucky to have experienced our stay at Hideaway Cottage and are truly grateful for it. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you, Mike and Laura, for being such wonderful hosts!"
"The Bunkhouse was so much more than advertised! It was beautiful, very clean and well stocked. The communication with the owner was instant and super friendly. Everything about the stay was simple, but well thought out. The horses ate in front of the poach. They were easy to pet each morning. There were a variety of cats prowling around and one who called our porch home. There was plenty of started supplies to get us through our mini vacation. The beds were comfy and the shower was hot. It was also the perfect location to visit a variety of springs and trails. Perfect!"
