Property was nice. The room was big, but it had some ants. The bathroom was very clean. Area around the property isn’t the easiest to navigate at night. Overall, a good place to stay that’s only a 10 minute tuktuk from the airport

Pleasant stay near the airport

This property was actually good, we need to compare this with Sri Lankan stands, hot water worked very well, the bed was a bit uncomfortable and planes flying by are perfectly heard also wifi speed poor but staff is very nice and helpful and the complimentary airport shuttle a very nice detail by the crew. There’s a good patio to relax. Room is equipped with AC

God beliggenhed, meget venligt personale og gratis transport til lufthavnen en tidlig morgen. Ikke super rent, men generelt positiv overrasket i forhold til prisen. Desuden ligger der en udemærket restaurant (Nicaragua) lige rundt om hjørnet.

Séjour correct dans cette belle casa malgré présence de deux cafards. Logement pratique pour un sejour de transit car proximité de l'aéroport à 15 minutes en voiture. Le personnel est très gentil. La navette gratuite de l'aéroport au logement est très appréciable. Les fish deviled et prawns deviled étaient succulents.

Convenient to the airport, very welcoming staff, good breakfast, good communications. We used this basic hotel for a quick night's rest upon arrival at the airport. The boutique hotel is a converted home with antique furnishings including beds with mosquito nets. Good value for the money, and appropriate for a stopover.

Das beste an dieser Unterkunft ist, dass sie tatsächlich direkt am Strand liegt. Mehr Positives kann ich aber leider nicht berichten. Das Hotel ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchte dringend eine Renovierung. Der Putz blättert von den Wänden und es ist insgesamt sehr unansehnlich. WLAN gibt es nur in der Lobby und auf den Balkons, die zur Straße raus gehen. Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht. Das Frühstück war okay.

Landing I'm Colombo first day!

I chose this hotel because it is close to the airport and after a long exhausting flight I knew I would want a nice cozy bed. Accosted by taxi drivers AR the airport I knew I wanted a less expensive tuk tuk. One guy told me I have a tuk tuk let's go, well he lied it was a taxi. He told me he would give a food price. Finding the hotel is tricky from hotels.com so he called the hotel and knew where to go. It is also known as Ceylon villa. I paid 700 rps, it should be around 3-400 at most but I was tired and for a couple dollars who cares. Once at the hotel, it is so clean and nice and they make you feel right at home. I was welcomed with a very nice drink and warm smiles. Buses are convenient to go to Colombo or Nehambo. I love Street food and a 2 minute walk to the corner is this guy cooking in the window. He'll make you great fresh food. You can grab some spicy veggie roti amd other options. I'd rather stay here than in downtown Colombo. It's a quiet neighborhood and you can hear the planes but that doesn't bother me. 4.5 stars

This was a great location to stay. Close to the airport. The only problem is that the hotel is not well known by the name "the Castle".

Smaakvol ingerichte villa

Ik had geboekt in the Castle, dat bleek dus villa Ceylon te zijn. De villa is prachtig gemeubileerd en er is een mooie collectie brons en houtsnijwerk. Zeer sfeervol. Er zijn tien kamers. Mijn kamer was ruim en smaakvol ingericht. Er is een restaurant. In de omgeving is weinig te doen. Er is een Maria kerk en daarbij was een soort fancy fair met veel plastiek en plaatselijke lekkernijen. Voor transport naar het vliegveld werd xxxx rupees gerekend, ook als het groepsvervoer is.

Cheap and cheerful perfect for an overnight stay

As we had an overnight stay before we flew out to Singapore this was perfect stay and it included free transfer back to the airport . It was cheap and cheerful staff were nice .
