The Bridge Hotel

3.0 star property
5.0 out of 10, (129)
"A bit worn down but we got a very large and pretty clean room with lots of floorspace, storage space and high sealings. It would probably look great again with a fresh lick of paint and some new carpets but not bad. The on sweet bathroom was also big and had a large bath (I didn't have to bend my knees like I usually do). It is situated right by the railway, so good for traveling by train if you don't mind the noise. It wasn't very loud and didn't disturb our sleep. No breakfast is provided...

Best Western Plus Pastures Hotel

3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (510)
"One night stay whilst visiting friends and
family
. Comfortable room which despite warm weather was reasonably cool as window could be fully opened. Clean bathroom with a good shower. The hotel also has a pub on site which does very well priced food, using a lot of local ingredients, although beer was expensive for the area. Breakfast was good. A decent selection of continental and hot options and nice to have tea/coffee made for you rather than having to use a machine. I would have no...

"A lovely dog-friendly hotel in the centre of town, which totally suited my requirements. I was a little surprised to have to pay £10 per dog when it says £10 per accommodation though."

Large House with Garden & Outdoor Furniture - Ideal for Families & Dog Friendly

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (6)
"Living away from the area, we wanted a property that would allow us to bring our whole
family
together over Christmas, including 12 on Christmas day. Croxton House was the perfect location. Spacious but not overwhelming, a dining room big enough for what we needed, a location. That was rural but not too far from local amenities. Becky was a fabulous host, with subtle Christmas decorations and thoughtful additions, making sure we had enough of everything we needed to cater for Christmas. Our...

MARSHLANDS LAKESIDE NATURE RETREAT

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (13)
"A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."
