Top Scottish Highlands Hotel Reviews

Westlands of Pitlochry
10/10 Excellent
"Front staff was super helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. We stayed in the junior suite which was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was self serve and there was a lot of choices, fully cooked or pastries and cereal. It was only a short walk into the main part of the town and it had easy access to the motorway. "

The Royal Highland Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay this weekend at The Royal Highland. Rooms are comfy, clean & well equipped. Staff are polite & helpful. We’d stay here again. "

Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa, WorldHotel Distinctive
6/10 Okay
"Fine. Decent, clean rooms. Their “spa/gym/pool” is basically a seperate membership they sell to locals. Its relatively small and gym, pool, saunas are always packed because of this. Makes it super frustrating as a hotel guest because you have to be prepared to wait for all facillities on all these others who dominate the facility rather than just hotel guests. "

The Pitlochry Hydro Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Good choice at breakfast. Room spotless, toilet recenly upgraded to a high standard. Ample parking. Great hotel, just wish it wasnt up a hill

Mercure Inverness Hotel
8/10 Good
"Hotel was nice and staff really welcoming.
Room was clean but bathroom light was really very poor, needs to be a lot brighter.
Was a bit annoyed that we had to pay an extra £15 per day on top of our booking for using the hotels car park. "

Bracken Hide Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This property is so unique! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Food and drinks are fantastic. Would recommend to anyone"

Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely staff, clean and comfortable room, and good food from the restaurant! This was a great option for our late night flight into Inverness. The car rental area was a short walk from the hotel when we picked up our car the next morning. "

The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery
6/10 Okay
"Stayed for one night. The room was a good size, quiet and warm. Unfortunately the mattress was very firm and not very comfortable. The bathroom was large but the water pressure and volume of water in the shower was very weak. Breakfast dinning area was very pleasant but the breakfast quality was poor. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. "

The Garrison
8/10 Good
"Rooms or shall I say, apartment, was lovely and plenty of space.
However, when we went to go to bed and pulled the sheet back on our bed, there were hairs everywhere. So we we had to go down the hill to reception to collect all new bedding, lug it back up the hill and remake our bed.
Wouldn’t have been a big issue but we never got an apology over the 4 days we were there.
When we checked out we mentioned it again and was told it had been reported to the area manager. Who and where they were we had no idea. Thought this was quite poor given that we were staying so many nights.
These are lovely rooms with great views across the loch and right in town so close to all the amenities. They just need to maybe up the staff levels as only ever seem to be one member of staff about, which is why we had to collect our own sheets. I am not faulting the lady we chatted to on reception, just that there should be at least 2 of them so one can attend to guests issues etc.
If it hadn’t have been for this it would have been a perfect stay."
