Bring warm clothes and layers for any outdoor activities, especially in fall/winter but even in summer. High altitude means quickly changing weather and often big temperature differences morning to afternoon.

Great hiking. Be prepared for rutted dirt roads to get to many of the trailheads.

We went to the Copper Basin and up to Stanley. Go there. Both are different from each other.
