"The Staff were amazing. We had the best omelette made by the chef. I still have a lingering taste of the omelette. The Manager was very good and helpful and the staff too. We were unable to go to the spa, timing did not work for us. Rooms were clean except for one day, when we got a smell of cigarette smoke, and the hotel could not figure out where it was coming from as it affected a few rooms. Overall a great hotel and super food"

"DO NOT GO HERE! When we arrived he made an inappropriate comment about another race and then proceeded to show around ground floor. The property is older design which isn’t a problem. The big issue was cleanliness the carpets had stains and dirt on them and hadn’t been hoovered, the walls had stains down them the down stairs bathroom had wallpaper peeling off sink was dirty and area where washing machine is, was a mess. There was some sort of large leak in one bedroom above window which went mouldy, the second bedroom had a large stain on side of bed and splatter on blind, the bedding was dirty and and then in master bedroom had large brown stain on carpet and blood on the curtains. The shower curtain was also very stained with dirt all behind toilet. He put a plastic box over the thermostat and said he doesn’t allow all to touch it (linking to a specific race again) but allowed us to use it. We instantly left after I took photos, we went to see family to which they said we could stay with them. I contacted VRBO about this, we explained it was not fit to stay in and they were very supportive. Unfortunately the host said there was nothing wrong with property and that he had changed the locks whilst we were out. He also refused to give a refund even with receiving photos of issues stating again nothing wrong. The photos are not up to date as all these issues are not in them. VRBO agreed with me and he still ignored us no refund given. If I could share the 23 images I would."

"The property is a fantastic base situated right in the heart of the village. For a group of 13 plus a dog, the layout worked well and offered plenty of room to breathe. Parking: Finding 4 parking spaces was a huge plus, especially since the library car park is not free. Entertainment: The playroom and piano were welcome extras that added a lot of charm and kept everyone entertained. The Garden: Truly lovely and spacious—perfect for the kids and the dog to burn off energy. Responsive Maintenance: When the boiler started leaking, the emergency team was great. They had a handyman and plumber on-site within 12 hours."
