It was very romantic, quiet, so clear and clean water, beatiful rooms, excellent wood. All was amazing😊
Wonderful place next to an incredible lake with pure and warm water to swim. An excellent breakfast is included in the room price. Nice hotel staff. High recommendation!
Beautiful property, excellent restaurant with good food. Only recommend you upgrade the mattresses for better sleeping experience.

unbeatable, new owner with a great taste and a good hand for style and food…we had the most amazing dinner with corresponding wines as per the chefs suggestion and loved it….
Staying at Hotel Punkaharju was the highlight of our week long trip in Finland.
A historic destination among the most beautiful landscapes in the whole country (a road leading to the hotel called Vuosisadan tie was voted as the most scenic in Finland), Hotel Punkaharju has been restored to its old grandeur with just the right touches of modern day living. Shampoos and conditioners from Fräntsilä, adored those. Best bed we slept in during the entire trip. The beautiful surrounding nature and a morning dip in lake Puruvesi, heaven.
Are the hotel rooms a bit pricey? Yes, and they should be. This type of stay is the epitomy of the quiet luxury trend. Especially the breakfast and separate menu dinner at Restaurant Metsä - just oozing that impeccable respect for both high standard local ingredients and excellent customer service.
I urge everyone traveling in Savonlinna region to book a night or two at Hotel Punkaharju. Truly an experience worth living.
Huolella kunnostettu perinteikäs hotelli hienossa ympäristössä. Palvelu toimii ja kaikki on kohdallaan. Hyvä kokemus!

Home sweet home
Suosittelen.
Sijainti on erinomaisen kaunis, maisemat todella kauneinta Suomea.
Hotellin julkiset tilat siistit. Rav. Metsässä tarjoiltu aamiainen on mielestäni aivan poikkeuksellinen Suomessa. Gluteenittomuus huomioitu erinomaisesti. Champagnea / huokuviiniä myös tilattavissa erillistä korvausta vastaan.

Ei hintansa arvoinen
Pieni huone, todella kuuma.
Muuten kaikki nappiin, paitsi aamupala. Olisin kaivannut jotain lämpimiä vaihtoehtoja kuten pekonia, munaa etc.
Oli kyllä upea hotelli mahtavalla paikalla! Puitteet kerrassaan hienot, historiallinen rakennus, jonka tunnelmat veivät ajatukset menneisiin aikoihin.

A beatiful building and atmosphere. The rooms are quite small but understand that this is an old building. I would like better lights and lamps; it was not cozy with the overhead lamps and no bedside lamps for reading.
Location is nice but service was not top standard. Food was local but not premium standard

A beautiful scenic hotel.
The property is very beautiful. It is situated on a beautiful Finnish lake, there are plenty of hiking trails, a nice beach, tennis courts and sauna. I would stay there again!
