The Retreat is Family oriented, and every cabin area is private, with a delightful community area if you so choose, we only had bikes as our mode of transport but everything is close by, our bikes were even dropped off and picked up via a nearby vendor. Our hosts were delightful and very responsive, especially as we arrived / and left...

"Jane and team clearly have workedso hard to create an amazing space. Our hut was fully equiped in the kitchen and bbq. The shower was amazing, hot towel rail, beautifully looked after and maintained. The grounds are stunning with places to sit and watch the sun set. Fantastic club house with loads of games like table tennis, table football, basketball hoop, badminton to list a few. I would to go back!"

"Our cottage was perfect for our family. It was comfortable when we needed some downtime to just hang out and its location was a perfect location to base our holiday. It's not far from St. Peter Port, it's within walking distance of several fantastic restaurants, a market, Sausmarez Manor, and more. We had great walks to Moulin Huet Bay and Fermain Bay from the cottage as well. I'm really going to miss Guernsey but hope to return soon and would happily return to Ellingham."

"This was the perfect little apartment for the two of us for our four day stay in the Saint Andrew area of Guernsey Island. We had everything we needed and looked forward to coming back to the apartment each day after a busy day of sightseeing. The owner, Michele, was very accommodating and showed us around the day we arrived. She left us fruit to enjoy and told us where we could go for more groceries."

"Our only complaint was that we had booked a room with a sea view but didn’t get one. When we raised this the hotel said they would have one available for us the next day. They were true to their word but we didn’t like the room so ended up staying where we were. The hotel was lovely, breakfast fabulous and the staff were all amazing and so friendly. We will definitely be returning sometime in the future."

Cobo Bay Hotel

"Excellent 2 night stay. We booked a balcony bedroom which had the most incredible views across the sea to enjoy the sunset. The rooms are on the small side and the bathroom is compact. However everything is spotless. Downsides would be the thin walls: be prepared to overhear people talking and using the bathroom! And the door to the balcony was hard to open, close and lock. The staff are warm and welcoming and highly efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant lacks character but is clean and spacious with panoramic views of the sea. Most important though was the quality of the food which was outstanding at breakfast and dinner or a light lunch outside on the terrace. The bus stop is a 2 minute walk and there is a Morrisons daily a 3 min walk away. Taxis are expensive on Guernsey - nearly £20 to travel to St Peter Port from Cobo on a Friday morning- the bus is £1.15! We caught the bus from the airport, and it was almost door to door. Will definitely return. Thank you for looking after us so well "

The Pandora Hotel

"Great location, although it is uphill from the main road and water front area. My daughter and I shared an ocean view room--we could definitely see the ocean, but it's not close. The staff at the Pandora are so friendly and helpful. We felt immediately at home. Laundry services were reasonably priced and quick turnaround. The breakfast (included with our reservation) was great! The bar and lounge area are comfortable--perfect place to hang out in the evening. Lots of excellent dining options in the area too. "
