The home was perfect. It was very clean and well stocked with needed items. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The winding drive to the home isn’t for the faint of heart! You can sit on the porch and listen to the babbling brook. We had lazy mornings, small day hikes, and nights filled with board games, puzzles and s’mores.
I brought a small nativity set. Each person on the trip painted a piece. This will certainly bring back memories of our wonderful trip, when we unpack it each Christmas.

Beautiful house

The house is beautiful and very secluded. No noise other than the creek in back. It is a bit of a drive through the neighborhood with some aggressive hills, but the payoff is worth it!

Wonderful Home

The home was spotless upon our arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything and everything we needed. It truly was like being at home. Appliances and cookware were tope of the line making meal preparation a breeze. The beds were comfortable and there is ample space for large families. The hot tub was clean and the outdoor screened in porch with fireplace was a wonderful place to spend the evenings. It rained in the afternoons, so we were not able to enjoy the fire pit but the view of the creek from the decks made up for that. Amenities are available if you choose to leave the property but, there is everything you need to keep a family entertained at the house. The host was very helpful with timely communication when needed (nothing wrong at the house, just my understanding of the gate). I would absolutely recommend this house. The drive up is as you would expect for a mountain home, and there are steps in the house that may pose an issue if you have limited mobility. This is however a wonderful home, and we would stay here again hopefully for a longer period next time.

Nightmare

When the projected path of Helene was headed toward the mountains, I reached out to the property managers and expressed my concern. Their delightful response was “too bad so sad” in nature. We did not want to lose our money so after our own power was taken out we continued to press forward post storm with our two small children. There was no electricity or gas along our way. We made it to Greenville, SC and discovered there was no power in the mountains at the property. Roads to the property were also impassable. Again, property management had no care in the world. I will never work with Vacasa ever again and I will encourage everyone I meet to do the same.
