Stunning! We stayed in the 2 bed suite is the Casio de campo building…it was like staying in a millionaire decorators apartment!! Huge patio to a stunning view of the mountains/vineyards. Wanted to cancel the rest of our trip and stay there. Breakfast was wonderful. Wine tasting unparalleled!

Escolhemos a Quinta da Pousada para passar um fim de semana da região do Alto Douro Vinhateiro pelos óptimos comentários que lemos e após a nossa estadia só podemos pontuar no máximo. Não é um alojamento comum é uma quinta familiar de várias gerações que o Sr. António tem o orgulho de apresentar de uma forma muito simpática e com toda a cortesia. Sem qualquer solicitação da nossa parte foi-nos proposto que escolhêssemos o quarto onde queríamos ficar sem qualquer custo adicional, apenas para que pudéssemos ter a melhor experiência possível durante a nossa estadia, tendo sido feito um upgrade para um apartamento completo com uma vista fenomenal e terraço privativo. As fotografias disponíveis não fazem justiça ao espaço em si, uma vez que a quinta apesar de manter o seu aspecto rural está decorada com extremo bom gosto onde nenhum apontamento é deixado ao acaso. Pequeno almoço tradicionalmente Português com tudo o que é necessário, servido com muita simpatia. Sem dúvida um destino a repetir pois não foi possível aproveitar a quinta e todos os seus espaços da forma que queria por falta de tempo. Altamente recomendado!

Een stukje hemel op aarde

Dit is een stukje hemel op aarde! Top locatie, rustig, mooi alles verzorgd, heerlijk en meer dan voldoende eten. Ik werd er hartelijk onthaald met rondleiding en verse vijgen die voor me van de boom werden geplukt. De kamers zijn kraaknet en romantisch ingericht. Een aanrader is de porto-degustatie ter plaatse. Proffesioneel uitgelegd met zicht op de wijngaarden. Als extraatje kon ik wat druiven plukken net voor ik vertrok.. Heel attentvol. Prachtig! Een echte aanrader !

Perfect stay!

Perfect stay!! Beautiful location, beautiful house, very tasty dinner, best sangria we have ever had. Carlos is a very friendly and helpful host. The owner is also very friendly. The decoration of the house is out of this world. We will come back for our wedding here in a few years time!!

Quinta da Pousada is not only beautiful, it gives you a sense of the deep roots of the Douro Valley culture. Five generations of the family have lived and worked there, and they make you feel like you are a family member. The farm to table is right outside the door and the port wine is aging right by the dining room. The location, decor and hospitality are top notch. A really special stay.

Wonderful stay at an incredibly romantic location. Antonio takes an incredibly large amount of pride in providing a great experience, particularly with the port tasting where his family’s tradition goes back generations.

nous avons été obliges d annuler nos vacances pour raisons de santé justifies s et oh surprise la politique d annulation de l hôtel est o combien mensongère puisque même en respectant scrupuleusement les dates d annulation eh bien nous avons essuyé un refus catégorique de remboursement et nous ne savons pas pourquoi.a mon sens il est inutile de donner des conditions d annulation dans un contrat quand on sait pertinemment qu on ne les respectera. pas je ne recommanderai donc a personne cet hotel.

Fantastic setting with terrific views across the valley, this is a great property with lovely rooms and shared spaces. Marvelous breakfast and the homemade yogart was devine. Antonio and his his son Antonio Jr were perfect hosts.

Wir hatten die "Superior-Suite mit Blick auf den Weinberg" gebucht. Als wir in der Quinta eintrafen stelle sich heraus, dass es sich um eine Art Keller handelt, in dem früher der Wein gestampft wurde. Es gibt zwei kleine,Fenster mit Blick in den Innenhof bzw. den Garten. Der muffige Geruch wird von Duftölen nur mäßig überdeckt. Das Bad ist wie beschrieben neu gemacht. Wir konnten in ein kleines Zimmer mit Blick auf den Pool wechseln. Der ca. 30prozentige Preisunterschied wurde uns nicht erstattet obwohl das teurere Zimmer neu vermietet wurde. Unser Vorschlag die Differenz zumindest zum Teil gegen die Gebühren für das überteuerte Weine-Tasting oder Abendessen zu kompensieren, wurde strikt abgelehnt Wir erhielten die mündliche Zusage auf unserer nächsten Reise eine Nacht kostenlos zu übernachten. Wir haben leider keine Reise ins Douro Tal geplant. Die Außenanlage und der Pool sind nett gestaltet.

Liked where the property is located. Nice pool. Our bedroom was tiny. The owner were very nice but a bit too over keen to sell his produce, no ability to pay with credit cards - and no invoice receipt for the cash payment!

Staying here is truly a lovely experience. The property is set in a peaceful little valley amongst vineyards. Every room has a lovely outlook, is large, airy and very comfortable. Perfect location for exploring the Duoro. Had difficulty finding it with navigation system and had to stop several times to ask for help. The address is actually the N2. There is not a lot in the way of restaurants for dinner nearby so guests all seemed to eat at the hotel. The special meal is several courses and expensive so the second night we opted for a light meal which was actually more enjoyable. Antonia and his wife, are warm, relaxed and lovely hosts and I thank them for posting on some clothes I inadvertently left behind in the wardrobe when we checked out a little earlier so they could have the room. We wish Tiago the very best.
