Beautiful view of the ocean and the sunrise from our room. Small pool was refreshing after a day at the beach although it could use some maintenance. The property is situated between San Agustinillo and Mazunte and requires a short walk up a steep road. The area is quite hilly, but it is an easy walk to the breathtaking San Agustinillo beach with some good snorkeling accessible from the shore. Some decisions by management seemed odd: bottled water for sale onsite, not included in the room price; coffee with some slices of white bread offered for breakfast. No restaurant or bar, but there are shared refrigerators and a few bottles of wine and beer available for purchase. There are plenty of good restaurant options a short walk away.

We really enjoyed our stay which we kept extending up to 12 nights. The hotel is a little paradise with a wonderful view of the ocean from our hotel room and pool area. Omar is a wonderful host answering all my questions and providing recommendations for restaurants and tours based on his personal experience. He even supplied me with some medication I needed. The hotel provides rides to either Mazunte or San Augustinillo in a golf cart upon request, which we used often although it’s only a short walk down to the beach but includes about a 100 yard climb up a hill to get back. The rooms and the pool area are kept meticulously clean and all the staff were very friendly. Will definitely put Casa Qi on my list when returning.

First impressions of Casa Qi we're positive, the staff, Bruno, got us in a room quickly. He showed us the fridge area (for leftovers we brought back from the restaurants in the area and a place to cook them) and coffee area and the area for beverages. Jaun and another young fellow were available to take us into town in a very luxurious golf cart. they gave us a to car. The next few days we went out exploring the area. Driving to a different beach every day. Omar had made some suggestions that were positive. We met Liz, one of the owners, she had many ideas of where to go that were good. The pool was nice and warm and the areas to sit around it we're good. I would have to say if there was a downfall or a lack of anything it would have been there was no safe in our room and there could've been a little more place to hang clothing. Hot water would've been nice. Small things overall. Mazunte and Casa Qi we're both great places.

The place is full of small, nice details that add up to an unforgettable stay. The view of the ocean is amazing, along with the rainforest right out of the window which makes this place seem surreal. We will definitively return. The staff was incredibly polite, helpful and courteous.

We were only here one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Staff are great and the place is well taken care of. Amazing views from our room and the pool. Short walk to restaurants and the beach. Fairly steep road up to it so if you have mobility issues that could be a problem, but otherwise it’s only a few minutes uphill from the main road. Would definitely stay here again.

Casa Qi is a quiet little gem along the Oaxaca coast. Absolutely spotless, responsive staff, spectacular views and quiet, Casa Qi was perfect. The quiet is earned by a rather steep uphill walk from Mazunte town uphill to the hotel. It’s worth the effort.

The view from are room was amazing. The service is 5 star. It’s extremely affordable and a short walk to restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach. We read about the hill, but we don’t mind. If it’s hard for someone to walk the hill, they can get a cab. We dipped in the pool after dark and watched the stars before we headed to bed which was super comforting. We slept with the drapes open so we could watch the sunrise over the ocean.

While visiting mazunte for a couple nights, we booked this stay. We were aware of the steep heel to the hotel. But difficult for our taxi driver to locate as no signage of the name out front. beautiful location and garden, outdoor space is unreal, pool, view. Well kept. We had booked a king size and got two double beds, one of the beds being hard as a rock. Our room smelt like cat pee and towels had stains on them. All things easily overlooked when in such a beautiful place, but then our shower but like pins and needles. Great water pressure but the head comes out in the tiniest streams it actually hurt to shower, never experienced a shower like that before, so disappointing. Overall enjoyed the pool and view, due to the poor beds and shower will not be back or recommend for long stay.

New, modern and fabulous with unique design and zen vibe. It stands head and shoulders above any comparable boutique hotels. Spotless, wonderful staff with the owner being present with an almost on-demand 3 minute beach shuttle or quick walk down the hill. Gorgeous views, ocean breezes from large terrace. Beautiful compact pool, perfect temperature for a swim anytime, but for star-gazing at night it was sublime. . Large bedrooms, air conditioned comfort, neutral decor, quality cotton bedding, terrace, Casa Qi will be our first choice in the area when we are next visiting.
