"Copal Tree is an amazing place. Nestled on top of a hill in the heart of the rainforest Rooms are very private and they have screened balconies that place you in the heart of the rainforest. Staff are so friendly and helpful. So many activities. Did a birding class in the morning and saw keelbilled toucans and collated aracaris steps from our room. Would definitely come back for a return trip."

This place is beautiful and well-kept. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and they did allow us to order from the menu after the first few days. We were there five nights. Our room said it had a kitchenette but there was only a coffee maker and mini fridge. Our second room did have a microwave. We had to switch rooms because on the third night we were lying in bed and saw bed bugs! We thought we had been getting bit by mosquitos but it turns out it was bed bugs! Luckily the manager...
