I would say this feels more like a hostel than a hotel. The best part is its central location in Old San Juan. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. We appreciated their recommendations for restaurants and parking lots. The complimentary drinks at the bar and rooftop are nice perks. The lobby is nice. However, our room was disappointing and left much to be desired. It was interior (standard) room so it’s only windows opened into the hallway. The room was dark with yellow, flickering lights. The mini fridge sits directly on the floor. The towels were very worn and a discomforting grayish color. The floors felt and looked unclean. The rooftop views were lovely but the seating felt half hazard and in disrepair. There were leaks in the hallways. I think this hotel has a lot of potential but would benefit from some updates and cleaning.

Cool building, good location to go see the “Old Town” and the staff were great. The beds were not very comfortable and with the property being right by several bars and tends to be loud at night even during the week.

I had to wait until 4pm to get my room but when I was able to I found it still not made up from the last guest which should not happen. They got it cleaned asap and gave me a discount for the issue. Yes the bar was a good perk.

The staff was amazing! Open bar for all guests! If you have a car, you will need to find a 24 hour garage or street parking which can be difficult depending on the time of day. We would totally come back though. Walking distance to everything in old San Juan!!

The hotel is housed in a very old building, formerly a monastery next to a church, which gives it a unique historical charm. The staff were extremely friendly, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay. The open bar was a nice touch, and the team was consistently attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately, the room itself felt quite dated and somewhat run down. The floors and walls showed visible wear, with noticeable stains and scuff marks. The bathroom was very small, with older fixtures that appeared worn and water-stained. Due to the building’s aging plumbing, toilet paper cannot be flushed, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the trash bin in our room had not been emptied from previous guests, which was disappointing. The air conditioning also struggled to keep up with the humidity, making the room less comfortable. Overall, the experience might have felt acceptable had we been expecting a more rustic, historical stay. However, this came as a surprise to us, and we did not feel the hotel offered good value for the price, despite the excellent staff and amenities.

Did not see any notice about the hotel, not having an elevator until after Booking. As a senior couple with luggage for an international trip, we had to leave our large bags in the lobby. There was no provision for locking them up, just a staff member saying they would keep an eye on things. The floors in the room of this over property were dirty and did not seem to have been mopped. The worst part, is that our second floor room was a top and next to a street level restaurant and bar that was the source of noise until 1 AM. Just the location of the property in the surrounding neighborhoods in the old town. Don’t book there if you are looking for a good nights sleep after a long day of travel.

Fun free drinks at the bar. Also being able to leave our large bags downstairs as there is no elevator. The staff was delightful. No hot water in rooms and issues with septic ( no paper down the toilet). The location is great.

The lobby is inviting and sets high expectations — unfortunately that’s where the positives ended. Our room had no hot water in the shower, dirty floors, nasty towels, no safety chain or deadbolt on the door — just a standard door lock. There was no way to control the room temperature and the TV internet went out at 11:30pm. There is also no elevator, so be prepared to climb four flights of stairs with your luggage — a total surprise that wasn’t disclosed at booking. Our reservation included a bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival which never materialized. Basic amenities like a blow dryer and iron were also missing. When we called the front desk about the hot water we were told there was no issue. A staff member eventually came to the room, confirmed there was indeed no hot water, then dismissed the rest of our concerns as nothing can be done. said she would leave a note for a room discount. Coming in, out of the rain and not being able to take a hot shower, blow dry my hair, or even iron my clothes after traveling is completely unacceptable especially for the price we paid. I would not recommend

The staff was amazing and the hotel has an authentic charm and hello open bar! So close to everything and very walkable area! We absolutely loved this hotel. Only down side was no elevator and the shower was a bit on the cool side. But made for some fun memories. Definitely would recommend if you are ok with lugging suitcase up a few flights. 10/10 will stay here again!
