The deck overlooking the beach was fabulous; we spent our time at the VRBO on the deck. The view of the ocean, beach, and surfers kept us entertained. The location was perfect, allowing us to hit the major tourist destinations in town, yet get out of the crowds when done. Also close to La Jolla and other beaches north. The Pacific Beach neighborhood is quiet and laid back. Great restaurants in the area and coffee roasters. Mary was spot on with all her tips and suggestions. We have never been some warmly welcomed upon arrival AND prior to arrival. We have never experienced this level of communication, it was outstanding. Gina called checking in from time of booking until we left, then Mary met us at VRBO, gave us tour on how everything works, answered all our questions plus some, and gave suggestions on our trip ideas, spot on for restaurants. We would just look at her list and pick one, always good. Kitchen well appointed, we did go to Gelshon's (Mary rec) which is very nice grocery store, picked up goodies and cooked a few meals at VRBO. No complaints. A great repeatable experience. If its available, book it.
