Casa Costiera is a bright 62-square-meter apartment, completely renovated in March 2026 with top-quality materials and new, stylish furnishings.

It is located on Via dei Mercanti, Salerno’s most historic and picturesque street, and can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people.

Access is via self-check-in using a safe located at the entrance; simply follow the instructions you will receive on the day of check-in.

As soon as you enter, just past the entrance, you will find yourself in the Suite, the largest room in the apartment, designed to offer maximum comfort both day and night.

The Suite consists of two areas combined into a spacious OPEN SPACE, and you will have:
• a “living area” complete with a bar corner featuring cocktails made with artisanal agave spirits; a smart TV and a large L-shaped sofa that converts into a comfortable extra bed for two additional guests.

• a “sleeping area,” behind the sofa bed, where you’ll find a queen-size bed with nightstands and a wardrobe for your clothes and belongings.

• To ensure privacy at night, a room divider is available to elegantly separate the sleeping area from the sofa area.

The sleeping area of the open-plan suite features a wardrobe, a dresser, nightstands with bedside lamps, and a variety of outlets—perfect for those who need to charge devices while working remotely.

The Smart TV, connected to high-speed WiFi, is available for guests to use for streaming.

The colors, the style of the furnishings, and the decorative elements—posters, canvases, and paintings of artistic merit—have been carefully curated to create a fresh, welcoming, and light-filled atmosphere, further enhanced by the two period balconies that flood the space with natural light during the day.

From the first period balcony, accessible from the open-plan area, you can admire a splendid urban panorama of Via dei Mercanti and Piazza Sedile di Portanova: a privileged view of the historic heart of Salerno, where the daily bustle and evening lights make every moment magical.

A welcome cocktail will always be waiting for you in the living room: a drink produced by Casa Margarita to refresh you in the summer and provide cozy comfort in the winter. You’ll feel right at home from the very first moment. This bottled, ready-to-drink cocktail (as you can see in the listing photos) is a complimentary gift for all our guests: my passion for cocktails and agave spirits led me to make them myself, and it’s a pleasure to let all our guests sample my creations.

In addition, there is an easy-to-use ice machine, allowing you to fully enjoy your drinks while having fun using the available tools to prepare them!

Moving into the kitchen, you’ll find a fully equipped space to prepare any meal completely on your own. Available: induction cooktop, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, kettle, moka pot, and even a professional ice machine for your free use.

Nothing is missing: cutlery, pots, pans, glasses, wine glasses, mugs, cups, various containers, and all the utensils typically found in a home kitchen.

A beautiful, modern, and spacious table for four makes the kitchen perfect for relaxed breakfasts, lunches, or dinners with friends. Here, too, there is a second small period balcony with the same enchanting view as the living room.

Recycling bags, trash cans, and dishwashing supplies are provided, all available to guests at no additional cost.

The bathroom has been completely renovated, features a window, and is equipped with all amenities: a shower stall, bidet, toilet, free-to-use washing machine (with detergent included), and dispensers for soap, body wash, and shampoo.

All bath linens are new and of the highest quality.
The sheets and all bedding are also brand new and made from high-quality materials, ensuring you a restful night’s sleep after your days exploring Salerno and the Amalfi Coast.

The entire apartment is air-conditioned thanks to a powerful split-system unit that keeps the home cool during Salerno’s hot summers and warm on winter evenings. Guests can adjust it freely at any time.

A broom, dustpan, vacuum cleaner, gloves, and all necessary cleaning supplies are also available for any need during your stay.

L'edificio, situato nel centro storico, si presenta in ottime condizioni: i piani superiori al primo sono stati recentemente ristrutturati con scale interamente rifatte, e la facciata del palazzo sarà ulteriormente rinnovata entro la maggio/giugno 2026. All'interno, un grande cortile aperto offre una piacevole vista intra-urbana su un'area molto tranquilla e rilassante.

Parcheggio: l'appartamento si trova all'interno della Zona a Traffico Limitato (ZTL) del centro storico di Salerno. Non è disponibile un posto auto privato e non è possibile accedere con la macchina direttamente alla via del palazzo. Per raggiungere l'ingresso gli ospiti hanno diverse opzioni:

— Parcheggiare in uno dei garage e parcheggi pubblici situati fuori dalla ZTL e raggiungere l'appartamento a piedi in pochi minuti. Nei pressi della stazione ferroviaria e lungo il lungomare sono presenti diversi parcheggi a pagamento.

— Prendere un taxi fino alle immediate vicinanze della ZTL e proseguire brevemente a piedi.

— Raggiungere direttamente l'appartamento a piedi o in bicicletta.

The apartment is located on Via dei Mercanti, the beating heart of Salerno's historic center.

This ancient medieval street, once known as "Drapparia" for the Lombard principality's textile trade, is today the city's main pedestrian thoroughfare: a continuous succession of shops, artisan boutiques, bars, restaurants, pastry shops, and traditional eateries where life flows vibrantly from dawn until late at night.

As soon as you step out the front door, you'll find yourself immersed in Salerno's most authentic atmosphere, with Piazza Sedile di Portanova right beneath your balconies. You won't need your car for anything: everything you need is within walking distance.

Just steps away is the Salerno Cathedral, the Cathedral of San Matteo, one of the city's symbols, reachable in about 3 minutes on foot via the characteristic Via Duomo, which branches off from Via dei Mercanti. Just beyond lies the charming Barbuti neighborhood, with its medieval alleys and timeless atmosphere.

The Giardino della Minerva, one of Europe's oldest botanical gardens, linked to the famous Salerno Medical School, is just a few minutes' walk away, climbing the narrow streets of the historic center.

The Lungomare Trieste, the splendid palm-lined boulevard overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, is just a two-minute walk away: a stroll to Santa Teresa Beach is the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.

Continuing along Via dei Mercanti in the opposite direction, you'll reach Piazza Portanova and then Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the city's main shopping street, lined with shops and ice cream parlors.

The Arechi Castle dominates Salerno from above and can be easily reached by car or with a picturesque (but long) climb on foot or by bicycle, offering breathtaking views of the gulf and the city.

In the immediate vicinity of the property, you'll find a wide variety of dining options: traditional pizzerias, trattorias serving Campania cuisine, historic pastry shops serving sfogliatelle and coffee, aperitivo bars, and live music venues. Supermarkets, pharmacies, and all the necessary services are also available.

Just 5 km away is Vietri sul Mare, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, famous worldwide for its artistic ceramics. From here, the road begins that passes through the breathtaking villages of Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Ravello, Amalfi, and Positano.

During the winter, Salerno is transformed by the spectacular Luci d'Artista (Artists' Lights): from November to January, the streets are illuminated with impressive art installations that attract millions of visitors.

Staying on Via dei Mercanti, you'll be right in the heart of this event, with the lights decorating the street right outside your window.
