I would highly recommend the Holiday Guesthouse. The host Angela was very friendly and helpful. She made you feel that you were a guest in her own home. Breakfast was excellent, Every morning she made your coffee and eggs to order. She provided fresh fruit, juices, Italian pastries and even home baked goods. The rooms were comfy and quiet. The location was close to the Main Street and an easy walk to the train station.

We stayed a week and really enjoyed the room. It is on the small side but fine for 2 people. Having a mini split air conditioner with the weather reaching the high 80's was a must have and very nice. Being able to clean our clothes was also a nice thing to have. The host Angela is the best, she touched bases with us each evening and morning to make sure we were taken care of and made us a nice breakfast every morning. She is also a wealth of knowledge about Salerno and the surrounding area and helped us navigate some of the things that were kind of confusing for us, not being Italian. Overall, we were glad we made the choice to stay here.

Great breakfast - love the fried eggs and croissants, they are so fresh. Angela gave me lots of useful travel tips - on how to take buses and trains to Pompeii and Herculaneum, where to go for dinner and where the local market is. Also took two day trips to the Amalfi coast, all the way to Amalfi. There are some great restaurants and delis nearby, it's comforting to have some deli food and fresh veggies and fruit after a long day of sight seeing.
