Gorgeous spot. Beach Fales are traditional, which is their main feature, and should be preserved as such, since other fales tend to be "modernised" which loses the point.

We really enjoyed our stay with this local family in the Fao Fao fales. Beautiful beach out the front, nice rustic bar and dining area overlooking the water and reef. Seems like snorkling off beach would be good (we didnt get time to) and lots of attractions close by.

Everyone was lovely and we loved our fale we were staying in. Unfortunately it was quite rainy when we were there so we wish we'd booked to stay longer. There's a beautiful coral reef for snorkelling and I even spotted a few turtles.

My fale was very traditional and basic , mattress could be replaced but was ok Location was spot on , spectacular setting a beautiful quiet beach and friendly host and decent breakfast each day. What I didn’t like was the 3xshower For the Fales all were without a shower rose. My girlfriend stayed in the a/c room and paid $90AUD per night and her bathroom was no better and between the bedsheets had tiny caterpillars which were alive , walls were disgusting , the lock on the door they did repaired very quickly on request the A/C worked brilliantly , however overall very grubby . High $$$$ for poor return

Loved staying here! Everyone was so friendly and it was a little slice of paradise. The beach was pristine and loved staying in the traditional fale. Food with the family each day was big portions and fresh and different each day. Would recommend to anyone wanting a down to earth, quiet and beautiful spot.

This accom is simple and exactly what you need to enjoy the natural beuaty around you. Staying in a traditional fale by the beach was wonderful. The ammenities are well stoked and easily accessible. Complimentary breakfast was bountiful and a lovely way to start the day. The owner is friendly and can recommend fun things to do nearby. The fale are mae out of natural materials and well maintained. bedding and mosquito net was very comfortable we didnt get bit at all! I def recommend this accommodation, in my opinion they are worth more than what you pay

the only good thing about the place is that it was on the beach , the breakfast was okay only. the rest of the place was the pits , run down , dirty, inadequate, not maintained. if i had seen the place before i paid the high price for it, i would not have booked in or stayed their. EXPEDIA have got a lot to answer for.

Simple accommodation literally on the beach. The fales allow privacy as required, with multiple 'walls' allowing height adjustment. This also works well for controlling the temperature of the room. Be aware there is no outlet for use in the fales (but apparently there were other locations you could use). Bathroom facilities are rustic, but clean and well maintained/stocked. Ear protection recommended - the surf is loud, and there is a road immediately behind the fales (albeit lightly travelled).

Such a wonderful experience! Absolutley beautiful beach front fale and the experience of living like a local. Lovely tropical breakfast included and amazing beach to snorkel in. Not for luxurious hotel lovers but perfect for the adventurous traveller seeking culture and experiences.

They have very comfortable new mattresses in the traditional fales- no holes in mosquito nets and bathrooms well maintained and clean. The breakfast was great and the dinners well worth the the small additional charhw

Sleeping in the fale on the beach and listening to the ocean sound was an absolute trip highlight. The owner and her family were so friendly and welcoming. The meals were plentiful and delicious. We would definitely recommend this place.
