Good basic accommodation. Very comfy bed annd powerful shower. Only downside was our room wasn’t made up when we checked in at 5pm. Fortunately reception was still staffed and she was able to switch rooms for us.

Firstly I had to pay twice for this stay, once when I booked via Expedia months ago and again when I checked in via the automated check-in machine - no humans were available despite arriving at only 7pm. Expedia customer services seem to obstruct every attempt to secure a refund for the duplicate payment. They blame the hotel for not responding, refuse to understand what I am telling them such as suggesting it was too late to cancel (who said anything about cancelling?) or that the payment at check in was just a holding amount - tell that to my bank account! Secondly the hotel was pretty dire. I don't expect luxury at this price range and usually stay in Ibis Budget hotels. However, the bathroom in this hotel was truly horrendous - dirty, smelly, gaping hole in the ceiling, hole in the shower tray, water from the shower didn't drain, soap dispensers all empty. Very grotty and no somewhere I will stay again, even if I only have to pay once.

Comfortable for overnight stop.
Travelling from the UK with our two dogs we stayed at the B&B Hotel Troyes to break up the journey. Room / facilities was large, basic but clean and welcoming. Locally to the hotel there are various dining establishments within walking distance.

Rooms far too small with poor service.
Lady at reception was kind and welcoming. However, the bedroom was tiny, bed far too big which took over most of the small bedroom space. Moreover, I was located on the ground floor with the window directly looking over the parking lot and the bathroom was opposite this so had to close the bathroom door in order not to be seen by anyone in the parking lot. Bathroom was also very small. Also, I only have an espresso in the mornings, no breakfast so when I tried to buy one from the machine I paid by card twice - still don't know if I've been charged - and put in coins but got no espresso. I asked the couple at reception busy with breakfast if I could be given an espresso from the breakfast lounge and I offered to pay for this but they abruptly said 'no'. Maybe it's company policy, but considering I had attempted to purchase just one espresso from the vending machine, with their help also, and failed surely they could have allowed me either to pay for an espresso from the breakfast lounge or given me a free one? At the next hotel I stayed at near Geneva I was given a free espresso when I asked for one and was willing to pay for it, why not here? I have worked for five years in the hotel industry in Rimini, Italy and the way I was treated left much to be desired so I won't be returning here and don't recommend it.

Good and easy
Nice and easy to get to and easy to get in although we arrived late at night. Basic but comfortable. Shower area a bit tatty but actual shower hot and strong. Breakfast good and efficient. Friendly staff.

Needs updating.
Booking in was a nightmare( as the last time!) codes given by Hotels.com would not function as hotel system needed a 6 numeral code.Needed to have help from hotel and problem rectified.( out of hours fir reception) Had little sleep…attention needs to be paid to the pillows, compared with Premiere Class and Sure Hotel at Calais! Hotel must be due for an upgrade- shower area had cracked tiles,mildew- did ot want to shower there! Net curtains need replacement and as far as ‘NewBfeakfast Menu’……still the same as 15-20 years ago but with more bread selection!

Excellent stay
We had a room very near reception, which was excellent as my husband has mobility problems. The wet room was large and clean. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

Reception was good and helpful. A good,reasonable Italian restaurant was just across the road. Plenty of supermarkets etc quite near. This hotel was easy to find and close to A26, thus very convenient. No hesitation, my first stay, but will stay there again in the future. (Only negative.whybacon and eggs not warm?)

Getting Tired

Great for overnight stop
Hotel was easy to find and had plenty of parking. We used the touch screen self check in without any difficulty. Room was very clean, basic but everything you need for an overnight stop. Room had aircon. Burger King and Macdonalds very close by. Also close by are supermarkets with supermarket priced fuel. All in all a great place to stay for an overnight stop.

The staff upon arrival did not want to let us into the hotel due to their shift ending in 5 minutes, closed reception early. Upon arrival to the room - it was found to be unclean with the previous occupants bath towels still within the room and the bed unmade.

Good stop off when routing through France
Used as a stop over whilst driving through Europe. Very convenient to access from the A26, and the electronic check in on site gives lots of flexibility for late arrivals. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was simplistic, practical and good. The location is on a large shopping park with many shops / outlets / restaurants although my time constraints prevented any real exploration. Would stay again.

We arrived during the published check in times but there was nobody at the property to check us in. There is a touchscreen device in the wall outside to check in out of hours but it was out of order. When the reception personnel eventually arrived the lady could not care less! The "welcome smile" promised was more like a disdainful snarl. The accommodation itself was fine though. Clean room, comfy bed. The tv didn't work, but we came here to sleep, not watch tv. The lack of reception staff did mean that we would not have been able to report it if we wanted to, but they probably would have cared less if we hsd!

Overnight travel stop
This hotels is essentially an overnight stay hotel when travelling. It is very easy to reach from the main motorway system.It is simple but adequate for an overnight, clean, TV, wfi, breakfast but no restaurant. However, there are many good restaurants very nearby. There is also a large supermarket complex nearby with the cheapest petrols and diesel. We use it regularly.

Keep coming back!
Stayed at this hotel a few times before on our journeys to and from Italy/South France. convenient first stop-off after Calais. Good clean Hotel with plenty of ameneties (Supermarkets, shops, Restaurants) nearby. Will come back again on our journeys through the region.
