We had a great stay in this cabin cutie :) The decor is modern and comfortable. Needed a place near Pali Retreat. This place was ideal and the owner, Matthew was available and quick to respond. Will definitely stay again if we’re out this way in the future!
Spent a beautiful snowy night at this efficiently appointed charming cabin. The layout was very cozy and beds super comfortable. Heaters worked great as well.
Cozy little property, very homey and comfortable. Great aesthetics, however, the dining room lamps and 2nd floor chandelier did not work. The shower lights were a little dark. The home is stacked with the basic needs for a
Weekend weekend staycation..close proximity to the lake. in to enjoy the cabin.
Everything was clean and cozy. My wife and I are over 60 and I feel like a broken leg or hip was just around the corner. The rock steps leading to the front porch were too far apart especially on the uphill. Likewise the stairs leading to the upper level. The railing out front was loose and would NOT support our weight. I think there should be an advisory for people who may NOT be as fit. Don’t get me wrong it was lovely for the price. The landlord was very responsive especially with a plumbing issue that was resolved within a few hours. If I needed to stay again I would certainly consider it. A couple of other issues beyond the control of either of you would be the weather and the road conditions. We were delayed on one trip back by an accident that blocked the road until a tow truck could remove one of the vehicles. We didn’t actually take any pictures while we were there.
A wonderful stay, with all the amenities I needed and a highly communicative host. It was easy to check in (I just needed to be willing to push the door a bit harder). It was a comfortable stay for several days with all the things there I could need. I really appreciate that there were multiple fans available because, as anyone who stays in mountains cabins might be able to tell you, temps will vary between floors. It's a great location for simply walking to the main drag of Running Springs if you take the path to walk under the highway, where there are a variety of grocery and restaurant options. The only minor notes are that some of the check-in/check-out procedures hung on the wall were different than those I received electronically - a super easy fix. And the bathroom would probably benefit from some window treatment. That's me stretching for critiques, just so I can demonstrate this is an objective review. It really was lovely! Thanks for a great stay!
I loved my stay at Matt's cabin, it was so peaceful and lovely! I initially wanted to just getaway from the city and work remotely from somwhere beautiful, and stumbled upon his listing. I did not make the wrong choice! :) The cabin is tiny upstairs, but has lots of space downstairs with a beautiful fully equipped kitchen, comfy couches and a huge dining table. The upstairs bedroom was comfy, although I wasn't very fond of the sheets because they felt like fake material and irritated my skin :( The shower might also need some improvement (a good shower is very important for me :) Other than that, me and my girlfriend really enjoyed the stay, cooking in the cabin, watching movies and hiking around the neighborhood in the evening hours, it was nice and relaxing and I'd definitely recommend to stay here if you are looking for a nice little getaway!

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Definitely not a two bedroom house. It was an open loft with no doors. The kitchen had some supplies missing , such as a spachula for cooking.
I was in search of a place to ease my dog's anxiety of loud fireworks during 4th of July. Running Springs was the perfect location as it was far enough from 4th of July fireworks activities at the lakes. The cabin was the perfect size for me and my 60-pound dog. I appreciate that all the need amenities were there like a coffee machine and kitchen supplies. The cabin was super clean and organize. It was in a nice neighborhood where I can walk my dog safely. It was also close enough to restaurants and markets.
My husband, daughter, chihuahua and I loved our stay. The Christmas tree is such a nice touch. Matt was very communicative and available. We felt right at home. Baked cookies, played games, watched movies. Easy access to town and Big Bear. Great stay. Thank you!
