「We booked the Paddocks which had a self contained very well equipped kitchen in an enclosed courtyard It provided a very comfortable overnight stay. We couldnt fault it. We arrived early as we had booked Sunday lunch at the George which was excellant and Wayne allowed us to leave our car there. Wayne was very friendly and not intrusive at all. 「This place is very welcoming and efficient. The staff can't do enough for you. The food is excellent, but unfortunately, we were only able to eat there on our first night. We wanted to do so again, but they don't cook on Bank Holidays. We weren't told this in advance, which is the only slight negative about our stay. . 」

Make sure you arrive in good time to check in early, and double-check what the morning process is for leaving - main pub remained locked and egress was through the rear fire escape - noone in sight so left key in room. The room was lovely - really well laid out, roomy, and clearly well-thought out; lots of little things that made the place really nice. Weak spot was the bathroom - doesn't have a proper door. Shower was also dirty...

「Clean, comfortable and it felt secure. Comms all by text, but responsive. Didn’t meet anyone personally. Be aware you will be asked for a deposit by bank transfer which was not highlighted on Expedia - it worked fine and was transferred back to me within 24 hours. Nothing nearby, aside from Aldi. 」
