Beautiful property. The host was friendly and accommodating. Great location for exploring some of the major sights in the area. A natural spring on site provided delicious drinking water. I had a family cabin with a kitchenette and washing machine. There were no screens in the doors/windows, but the beds had mosquito nets. I rented an AWD vehicle to get there. The location was well-signed and easy to find. Cold water only for the shower. The kitchenette was stocked with utensils. Note that there are many stairs to reach to cabins, so if you have trouble with stairs it may be difficult.

Of the places I stayed in the Carribean, this was one of the most interesting and fun. It was an ecotourism type stay in a mountainous forest with tremendous views. The bedrooms had large doors that allowed it to be open to the front deck area to enjoy views and nature while sleeping. The guest house units seem to be separate and private. I found the natural environment of plants, birds etc surrounding the area to be beautiful. Surprisingly, it was not buggy, nor were there any pests etc to worry about. The outside deck kitchen area is outside and covered by the roof. It rained frequently the night I was there and everything was dry. There is a casual lounge area next to another building. I only stayed one night but it would have been great to stay two.

The quiet environment of Berkey's Jungle Paradise is outstanding. It was fantastic to relax in the hammock at the terrace. And the views from the accomodation is really stunning. If you like to walk many tourist facilities like the Trafalgar Falls and Wotten Waven are at relative short distance (30-40 minutes walk). Berkey is a very kind person willing to assist you at all times. So the place is higly recommended

This is the best place to stay near Trafalgar Falls. Berkey is the best host ever and his cottage is right in a natural paradise with flowers mountains all around… Don’t miss the opportunity to relax in an authentic location in Dominica!

Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together.

Berkey himself is a gracious, helpful, and thoughtful host. His communications are excellent and once there, he will be there for you. He attends to details and has pride in this hideaway. It requires a walk up ~40 steep steps but once on top, your are in a beautiful valley with wildlife and jungle sounds. Accommodations are basic but sufficient, if you are looking for an experience more like Dominica than a luxury hotel, Berkey's place is fine. Access to the property is straightforward and the location is ideal for short or all-day trips to the many local attractions.
