Elizabeth House - WelcometoRhome

  • On the first floor of a charming building dating back to the year 1900, in the center of Rome, the huge apartment has 2 large and bright bedrooms both overlooking the green and peaceful inner courtyard. The master bedroom has writing desk tha can be very useful if you need to work; the second bedroom has 2 single beds that can be pushed together if a second double bed is needed.

    The living room, with a 3 seater sofa bed (comfortably sleeps 2 adults), TV set and a dining table for 6, is perfect to chill out with your family and friends. And if you'd like to experience home-made Italian cuisine, a fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal (oil, spices, sugar and coffee are always available). There are 2 bathrooms: a full bathroom with bath tub/shower, bidet and double wash-basins (definitely useful, especially with children), plus a smallest service bathroom with sink, wc and washing machine.

    Children are welcome: toys, books and other amenities are available for them! :-)

    The apartment is decorated with original elements of Italian design by Artemide, Flos, Kartell, first among everything the Arco lamp by Castiglioni. You will find pieces of Italian art of the 70s, of painters such as Sarnari, Vespignani, Uncini (these artists were the highlights of a recent exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome).

Great location and spacious apartment

Great location and spacious apartment - very walkable to many locations in Rome. Our host Chiara made us feel so welcome and the check in so easy and she took the time to give great instructions on getting around to many key sites in Rome on the short visit we had!

Great Location, Quiet Courtyard, Helpful Host!

We really loved our stay in Rome and this rental was perfect for us. We found some great restaurants nearby and enjoyed the close proximity to the Metro. The shining star of this rental was our host, Chiara, who was very responsive and kind, provided all the information we needed and was super helpful when our bag was lost by our airline. She was a wonderful host!

Convenient & Quiet

Great location right by subway, 1 stop from train station. Wonderful restaurant next to apartment and grocery store across the street. Easy walk to Colosseum. Excellent communication from manager. Very spacious apartment. Quiet.

A lovely experience!

This apartment was perfect in every way! Hidden within a lovely courtyard, the spacious apartment allowed comfort for our group and our hosts were very kind and helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable and each bedroom had a temperature control remote. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook in for a few meals. It is walking distance from the train station in a nice neighborhood. Steps from the apartment is a large grocery, lovely restaurants, a beautiful cathedral, a hop on hop off stop, and entrance to a subway station. We would definitely stay here again!

Spacious Unit in a Great Location

The unit was as advertised. Spacious. Everything was in working order. It was steps from the metro and a few blocks from the train station. The air conditioning worked perfectly, beds were comfortable, wifi was fast. Very close to lots of restaurants and grocery stores. The host, Chiara, was responsive and very accommodating.

Disappointed

We paid way too much for the quality of this apartment.The apartment was adequate, but very basic. The apartment is large, but it's old and very outdated. The tub shower is pure old school European. Bottom line, you can find a better apartment in a nicer neighborhood, for less cost.

Authentically Italian

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The apartment was very spacious (much larger than the pictures) and had everything you could need. The beds were comfortable, the location was convenient and the hosts were fantastic and very helpful and responsive.

Great accommodation

Un appartement très agréable pour des vacances à Rome

Great stay

This was an exceptional experience! We loved our stay at this fantastic apartment. It was very spacious, clean, and welcoming for our family of 5 (our girls are 14,17, and 20). The 2 bathrooms (one is a half bath) were a perk and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for meal preparation and eating. The air conditioning was a benefit after our long, hot days of sightseeing. We were close to all the sites of ancient Rome and we were able to walk everywhere to sightsee, the one exception being the Vatican, but we hopped on the metro, which was a short walk from the apartment. Chiari was a great contact. Before our arrival she communicated well with us. She met us at the apartment and had many suggestions about what to see and do and how to get around. She made us coffee when we arrived and made it clear that she would be available for any needs we had. We did have a problem with our Eurail pass and Chiari was immediately available to help us problem solve and figure out how to proceed. We were sad to leave such a fantastic place and if we ever return we would for sure choose this wonderful apartment again!

nice clean apartment at a good price host left a great book with local info i was disappointed with the king bed. Not sure how King beds are measured but smaller than i am used to and not comfortable.

Good location

Good location to Rome Termini station. Walking distance to Colosseum & all other major landmarks. Easy to get to Vatican City on metro located right outside apt door. Hot water in shower wasn’t always consistent. Comfortable beds & A/C in bedrooms worked great.

Nice Apartment close to key tourist sites

Clean and roomy apartment close to the train station and the Colosseum with plenty of room for our family of five. Metro station right outside the front door makes it easy to get to furthest sites, although everything is walkable but can be tough in the summer sun. Would definitely book again.

Close, safe and comfortable!

We enjoyed our stay at Elizabeth’s home. It’s very close to the termini, less than 8 min walk. The entrance to the metro is also just outside of the building. There are many restaurants and shops around the corner that you’ll always find a place to eat and shop. The apartment itself is very roomy, clean, comfortable and safe. The location will give you a locals feel where prices are reasonable but still close enough to reach the high traffic tourist areas. It was also a pleasure to work with Chiara and her associates. They were very helpful upon checkin that we didn’t need anything else from them. The pictures are true images of the house. We would definitely stay at Elizabeth’s house again.

Großzügige Altbauwohnung 15 Geh-minuten zum Kolosseum,30 Minuten zur Spanischen Treppe. Außerdem ist die Metrostation 5 Minuten entfernt. Lage also ideal. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermittlerin war super ,sie hat auch den Transport vom /zum Airport organisiert.Auch der Willkommens-Folder mit Restaurant,Bäckerei und Supermarkt Tipps war sehr hilfreich. Die Küche ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen aber Geschirr, Geschirrspülmaschine, Herd sind ok. Sogar richtige Weingläser sind vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist ideal für 4 Personen, da es nur ein richtiges Badezimmer gibt. Im zweiten Bad ist nur die Toilette benutzbar. Außerdem ist die Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer ,welches zur sehr lebhaften Straße liegt und die Fenster nur Einfachverglasung haben. Die zwei Schlafzimmer sind sehr ruhig, da sie zum Hinterhof liegen.

Quiet Cozy and a Tidy Garden Entrance!

Wonderful service from Chiara from day 1. She communicated well and followed up with any questions or concerns promptly. Apartment was tidy, clean, mostly quiet and had many homey touches! Many good restaurants in the area based on her recommendation. Restaurant just below apartment was wonderful to eat at our first night while we were getting over our jet lag. Area is certainly up and coming with an international flare, however we were close enough to touristy areas to feel safe. I would recommend this again!

Real Italian apartment - excellent manager

Elizabeth House is in a lively, interesting area of Rome - not too touristy. There are many small shops, various restaurants and bakeries and historic churches. Right beside the entrance to the apartments is a trattoria with good food, reasonably priced, and helpful staff, which suited us so well that we went back several times. A few streets away is an amazing covered Food Market. The location is convenient for the Metro and the Termini and to set off on foot to explore historic areas such as the Colosseum. The apartment is in a traditional Italian building with high ceilings and cool tiled floors, has a well equipped kitchen and is tastefully furnished with interesting art on the walls. The beds were comfortable and nicely made up for our family. The most impressive aspect was Chiara's helpfulness, particularly in sorting out a payment problem (not of her making). She went beyond duty. Once we had arrived she meet us at the apartment for checkin, which was all done well plus helpful information about the apartment, the locality and generally what we wanted to do in Rome. She also provided a local cell phone for any other questions during our stay. The taxi from the airport was reliably booked with helpful instructions about what to do if the plane was delayed.

Chiara was a great help...was kind, communicated well, and had a notebook full of helpful info at the apartment. The apartment had the amenities that it advertised and was very clean. The beds were comfortable. No A/C, but opening the windows brought in a great breeze. Close access to the Metro and grocery store. Overall, a great stay and we would recommend it.

Precioso

Hemos estado en el apartamento dos parejas y dos niños. Nos ha resultado comodísimo, ya que las habitaciones son muy amplias y también la cocina-comedor. Es muy luminoso, a pesar de que las habitaciones dan a un patio interior, pero es muy grande y con plantas. Nos ha encantado la decoración, sencilla pero con mucho gusto. Y por supuesto, tiene todo lo necesario para sentirse bien, para cocinar, para descansar... Y la ubicación, pensábamos que estaba un poco alejado y teníamos dudas acerca del barrio, pero nos ha sorprendido porque hemos podido ir a pié a muchos sitios y también hemos usado el metro que está al lado de la casa. En cuanto al barrio, es muy agradable, la calle ancha y arbolada, la plaza con jardín justo al lado, y en general, un barrio muy vivo, en el que hay tiendas de todo tipo. Y agradezco mucho a Chiara su atención en todo momento.
