I didn’t meet the host when I checked in; I just used the key to get in.
When I walked into the room, it was a complete mess—it looked like someone was actually living there—and I was terrified that an accident might happen. The bed and kitchen were left messy after use, and a huge pile of towels had been tossed into the bathroom. There was a lot of trash and cigarette butts scattered all over the room.
Hot water only ran for about two minutes in the shower, so only one person could use it per night.
It was especially exhausting on cold days.
Even though we wanted to request improvements, the host never answered the phone, no matter how many times we called.
We were instructed via WhatsApp to send a message, but even when we did, we received almost no response or were told to send it to a different account—there was no proper follow-up.
At some point, we were completely ignored. It was extremely frustrating, but we had no choice but to give up.
The room was dark, and we were woken up in the middle of the night by loud noises from garbage collection at the adjacent dumpster.
There was no Wi-Fi or laundry detergent. The TV was broken.
There was dish soap. Supermarkets and tourist attractions are nearby. The bookshelf in the living room gave off a travel-themed vibe.
There was absolutely no apology regarding the condition of the room.
