We cannot say enough good things about our stay in this apartment. Would give it more stars if possible. I chose this place primarily for its air conditioning, internet, ease of access to/from FCO airport, great price, and of course, beautiful photos. ALL turned out even better than I hoped. We've never been to Rome before, but stepped off airplane and bought train ticket to Roma Trastevre. Easy train ride later, we followed GPS instructions and walked 12 mins to the apt. building. All communication with the host was immediate and very easy too. With a late night mini-market and pizzeria right around the corner, we had everything we needed just outside our door. (Full super market also just a few mins walk up the street.) We discovered a restaurant called Equo Hosteria on our walk from the train station to the apt. that turned out to be our favorite food experience in Rome. We went back for late night dinner & wine twice! The 8 tram is also a few short blocks away and took us to all of the city's major sights. We also enjoyed walking home from the Colosseum in less than 1 hour, which was a great way to explore on foot. After long days in the summer heat it was WONDERFUL to go home to REAL air conditioning, huge apartment, fast wifi, and the first time in Europe we had a great shower with actual water pressure! (And soft, fluffy towels.) Washing our clothes and cooking dinner at home one night was also a great bonus. I can't imagine finding more comfort or better location for the price. Highly reccomend this home. Do be sure to stop in at Equo while you're in the neighborhood!! HUGE thanks to our host, Antonietta, for going above & beyond! (If you haven't stayed in Rome before, be aware there is a city tax to be paid up front, standard at every home & hotel we visited, so have a few Euro ready for check-in. Happily, this home did not charge any additional deposit or hidden fees, but the city tax is required.)
