You get what you pay for. The bathroom had a weird layout and is very tight. The bathroom walls were wallpaper and some of the wallpaper was stripping off… it looked like black mold or dirt was accumulating behind the wallpaper. Wife and I were too tired to report and request a room change from our drive. The room smelled damp, even though they had wood/laminate flooring. There were feathers flying everywhere from the pillows/duvet. The stay was ok, the continental breakfast was ok.. not Hyatt standard.

Mr. Brubaker,Even though the evidence of a pet in your room was OVERWHELMING, we have refunded the pet fee back to you. However, you were only charged 75.00 plus tax and therefore that is all we refunded.

Not a good visit
This was one of the worst hotel stays of all time. The hotel was understaffed. Once we got into our room. It hadnt been cleaned. Dirty sheets. Food from a previous stay was still in the refrigerator. We had to move rooms. Once moved i couldt sleep due to construction/ renovation at the hotel.

Glenn,We are confused by your review. We do allow locals to stay at our location. We do not allow wild parties, nor do we allow guests to exceed the safe occupancy of our rooms. However, this is vastly different than not allowing locals at all.

We provide a community microwave; however, microwaves are not an amenity that is listed for our property. We do have all amenities listed on all websites for this very reason. We want guests to be aware of all we offer and all we do not prior to their booking, and certainly prior to their arrival.

We have spent several holiday stays at this hotel. The staff are always kind and knowledgeable. Presently, renovations are taking place, so there was a bit of untidiness and noise, but otherwise, a great stay as always.

Don’t do it!
It was okay. The rooms were nice and big. The outside of building was scary. No outdoor lights on and a lot of mud and bushes around building. The front entrance was worn down and did not even look like a Hyatt Place that I have stayed at before. There was nothing made in the bakery area or in the bar space. Looked like it was closed up and like we were walking into a time zone.

Under construction
I was not aware when booking, that this location was in the middle of a renovation. In an otherwise quiet spot in Roanoke, the construction lift backup beeping sounds outside the front of the building, worked late into the evening. Indoors, the contractor's started early in the morning. Hyatt should have adjusted cost of the stay accordingly for the inconvenience.

The property and the rooms are nice. Didn’t realize this property was under remodel so a lot of things were just weird. Upon getting off on floor 5 the hallway smelled of paint the whole stay. The rooms were very nicely decorated, clean and spacious. However, the windows were covered with plastic so you couldn’t see out. The light switches were placed on backwards so to turn on the light you press it down and not up. There no space in the shower to place your items that you need to take a shower. What was in there was tiny and my items kept falling. The towel rack for clean towels is in the shower so that was weird as well. Overall, the place is nice . I feel once the construction is completed this place would have gotten a 10/10 for me.

Not Hyatt Standards
Construction going on everywhere. Carpets stained. Poor quality A/C. Door locks glitched and didn't work a bunch of times.

This property is currently going through a renovation so there was many changes going on. Once the renovation is done this property will be so much better and looking forward to staying here again. The room was very clean and staff was very friendly.

Large renovation is happening to this hotel. There is noise from 8am to 6pm. Many parking spots have construction trucks parked in them. The lighting is not good, very dim. It is hidden behind a large Chinese buffet. Our window was covered with plastic wrap and blue painters tape. The air quality in the room felt stale. Both my daughter and I woke up with a sinus headache. Neither one of us felt sick or have any health issues.

Hotel under renovation but great
Hotel was doing a massive renovation. The lobby staff went out of their way to determine what type of room would best meet our needs in light of the renovation going on. We were entirely satisfied and breakfast was delicious.
