"We booked this last minute and we were not disappointed. Lodge was beautiful, modern, light, extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need and more. The living space and beds were extremely comfortable. Hot tub was a lovely added bonus and relaxing. The location is beautiful, tranquil and relaxing and perfect for walks with our two dogs. Roadford lake is stunning and lovely little cafe to waste the time away in with delicious homemade cakes. My only negative would be no enclosed outside space so had to take dogs out in lead every time and you did have to pay £40 extra for each dog. We will definitely be returning"

"A very relaxing quiet and peaceful location over looking a duck pond and direct access to Roadford lakes which is a great place to walk and enjoy the out doors, especially if you have a dog. The cafe is a good place to have coffee and cake over looking the lake. The lodge has 2 extremely comfy sofas and everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. The hot tub was a great added bonus. This was our 4th visit to this particular lodge but have stayed here over 7 times. We absolutely love it."

"Another lovely stay at Hazel Lodge with grandchildren. Quiet location and easy access to vast woods and activities in the lake. Enjoyed evening cafe opening too, a very short walk from the lodge. Our dog loved her week away too, definitely hope to revisit, a perfect place for a family gathering."

"We had a lovely stay here , it’s a beautiful place lovely surroundings the lake was lovely the cafe great food although little disappointed not open very long and no warning one day was closed when walked down to it , just because the food was delicious, The lodge was lovely kitchen well equipped, very comfortable beds clean and tidy great lodge , had loads of games we could play , hot tub was lovely and clean kids loved it , would definitely recommend and we would return thanks for a lovely stay ☺️"

"Returned from last year. Excellent lodge, very clean, only hour away from Newquay/mevagissey, and the likes of Plymouth and Torquay. so plenty of places to go and explore for the likes of Devon and Cornwall and then relax in the Hot tub after Maintenance team and Luke was fab. Hope to come back next year"

"we arrived to see the ev chargers were out of order we think when sending the text about the codes for the lodge this should of been mentioned . A few small things in the lodge it had no parasol on the patio when we asked about one we were told that lodge did not have one so there was no shelter from the sun at all why ?( most of the other lodges had one ) . In the lodge we found the knives very blunt a small cheep sharpener would have been useful , there were only 3 wine and 2 champagne glasses for a party of 6 even plastic ones would have been better than this , The dining table was very sticky we had to give it a good scrub it felt like it had not had a good clean in a while ( this is why only 3 for cleanliness ) as it was to hot with no shade on the patio we had to use it .You may thing these are just small things but they would make a big difference ."

"Lovely lodge. Immaculately clean and maintained and very well equipped. Wouldn’t stay here again though as absolutely no privacy. Lodge faces the only road on the site so you have constant children, cars, people walking past the patio. It also wasn’t enclosed so not great when you have a dog. We did feel a bit trapped in the lodge in the whilst we were there."

"Review for 21 Roadford Lake Lodges We recently stayed at Lodge 21 and overall found it clean and comfortable inside. However, a few areas could definitely be improved to make the experience smoother. The exterior felt a bit neglected — the outdoor furniture was dirty, and there were unnecessary leaves and debris that hadn’t been cleared. It gave the outside space a slightly uncared‑for feel, which was a shame given the lovely surroundings. Inside, the lodge was extremely hot on arrival. It would help if housekeeping closed the curtains beforehand and left the windows on the security latch to keep the temperature down for guests checking in. Another ongoing frustration is the onsite EV chargers being out of service yet again. This seems to be a recurring issue and really needs addressing, especially as many guests rely on them. Overall, the lodge itself was clean and pleasant, but a few practical improvements would make a big difference to the guest experience."
