"The Commonwealth is our "go to" hotel when we stay in Richmond, Virginia, primarily because the rooms are huge and a great value, and the staff is friendly, helpful and determined.
I do have to mention, though, that I would hope the hotel would hire more staff members. It appears that the staff on hand are expected to serve many roles, which causes the service to lag. For instance, when we checked in this last time, there was no one at the reception desk and the housekeeping supervisor partially checked us in after a long wait.
I've also noticed the last couple times that we stayed that the restaurant is often lacking advertised entries or beverages. It would be great if that area was well stocked with food items, beverage choices and enough inventory to serve all guests.
