"Property was beautifully designed and new. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. The spa was incredible - 5 stars. Food was very good and nice variety on the menu with daily specials.
The only thing we did not like was the pool area is small (only 8 loungers) and right beside the restaurant & open air kitchen which can be loud if you are trying to relax.
Also, not much of a beach area to speak of."
"Evan was at the Placencia airport waiting for us when we arrived. He took the time to drive us down the main street in Placencia before dropping us off at the sidewalk where another staff member was to take our luggage and walk us to the hotel. Everyone was so kind. The room was very clean and the view was spectacular. Right on the beach.
The hotel is very conveniently located near many restaurants, coffee shops, and shops. The hotel also pays for a pool pass at the Placencia Beach Club during the time that the sargassum is heavy on the beach. Someone cleans up the seaweed regularly though. Sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee (also provided by the hotel) in the mornings was picture perfect.
We were only at the hotel for breakfast to be served once. They had eggs and waffles, along with fruit, coffee, juice, cereal (I may be forgetting something). Breakfast was brought to our room the evening before for the next day when we had tours planned that left before breakfast time.
Our stay was so perfect! I highly recommend and hope I can go back soon!!"
"Great stay! Perfect location, experience and staff!
My room was connected - with locked door between - the room next door, and you could hear everything going on next door. "
GOLD STANDARD - Pointe House, tip of peninsula , walk to village, 1 BR/2 BA
10/10 Excellent
"We really loved the Pointe House. Gorgeous flowers everywhere. Gracious host Rosa. But for us in the 70 lane, the furnishings were not very comfortable for our aging bodies. I also would have appreciated a small welcome basket offering bottled water, some fresh fruit and a couple muffins or pastries just to see us thru to the next morning, as we had a late arrival and had no idea there was nothing in the room or nearby."
"I can't say enough about the Sea Glass Inn and the Maloney's. We were met at arrival by Tom, one of the owners. He has alot of knowledge about pretty much everything you might want to do in Placencia. From places to eat to excursions you might want to take. They set up transportation for us from the local airport, a car rental fo
r our road trip, and even scheduled our excursions! They truly go above and beyond at the Sea Glass. The hotel itself is newly remodeled, clean and beautiful, with a lot of personal touches. To top it off, if you're a dog lover, this is your place. Piper, Rigatoni and Alfredo are perfect additions to the laid back Placencia vibe."
