Overall the stay was terrible. You don’t have access to all the restaurants on the resort. Pools close at 6pm. The swim up bars close at 7. The whole resort shuts down at midnight. So drinking and late night food isn’t an option. The buffet food isn’t good. They ran out of plates and also cannot seat everyone. Restaurants wouldn’t allow us to make reservations but also wouldn’t seat us when we tried to walk in. Drinks aren’t strong. The liquor is cheap liquor. The pool water is hot that it’s not even enjoyable. The front desk made us wait in a 30min line to check out. We paid for an ocean front view and our view was the back of a trash can and building. 90% of the view was blocked and 10% was the ocean. The ocean is nasty rocky. There’s no cabanas to sit on or even try to enjoy the beaches. The beach is dirty. Barrels in the water. I’ve stayed at several resorts all over Mexico and this is by far the worst one. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me. The saying “you get what you pay for” doesn’t even apply here. It’s a cheaper stay but still not worth it.

It’s basic facilities. They have many activities that’s a great thing. Since we were there in summer time, ocean was full of seaweed and not possible to swim or enjoy. Rooms need some improvement. Also diningroom was so hot and there was no AC working. It’s an ok place to stay in this price range.

Las instalaciones bien comparado con el precio que te sale la estadía y la comida muy rica de hecho. Hay factores que no me gustaron del todo por qué al momento de reservar te dice que te incluye tu reservación pero al llegar y tratar de usar las instalaciones es lo contrario por qué te dicen que no viene en tu paquete que reservaste pero cuando llegas al loby te dicen que si así que nadamas sería eso de ahí en fuera todo excelente🙌

Las instalaciones están en muy buen estado. La comida, espectacular, así como la atención del personal. La variedad de bebidas, excelente. Quizás hagan falta más opciones de snacks, ya que sólo hay sándwiches y crepas. Lo malo fue que no pudimos meternos al mar debido a la cantidad de sargazo, pero eso es ajeno al hotel.

The resort was good but could have been better if we could have used the other restaurants on site. Next time I would definitely book the Catalonia Maya Rivera. The staff, pool swim up bar, theater, and lounges were fantastic! The only down sides were the stinky smell from the seaweed (which was not the resorts fault) and the rooms were very out dated. We could not utilize the other restaurants because we could not get reservations, except the buffet which was not too bad since the food was ok and was different every night. Also no room service, will not stock your mini fridge with anything except water.

They staff was friendly and helpful the whole time. Little disappointed that after i upgraded that i wasn't able to book dining reservations until a day or 2 being there, but it was fixed. The wait staff everywhere was welcoming and courteous. Will definitely be back.

The resort was overall nice and good. However, for the price we paid for, nothing was included. we had to change rooms 2 times, and that took a lot out of our time. staff were friendly for the most part. The manager at the Buffet was really rude and demanding. Swimming pools were ok, not too clean.

Was not good experience at all. If you are going with low expectations and by paying high charges sure no worries but worst Catalonia experience ever ruined Vacation. Not all the information on Expedia is correct. Will recommend not too book it but still if you want to book it through Hotel Website as per their guest service agent. I hope I can at-list save one person vacation its worth while.

The property has nice outdoor facilities but the rooms do look dated. The staffs are courteous and the entertainment team is excellent. The food at the a la carte restaurants is lackluster. Among them the Italian is better than the rest. The American is worse than the buffet. The weird rule that one has to pay 30 USD if missing a beach towel is off putting. Obviously, no one would steal a used towel. The only reason a towel is missing is that someone accidentally grabbed someone else’s by mistake. The resort should just issue another instead of charging the guest.

Really loved the location of this resort. Our room was old, had a few "patches" on issues, but we didn’t mind. Really love the location and size of this resort. Being a family resort, I found the night entertainment to be too late. Myself and my teens would go to the sportsbar, shoot some pool and head to bed before the shows even started. Aside from the beach show. We were there for everything else. Not the shows. So not disappointed. Will definitely be back.

Great resort!

What an amazing resort. My family and I had the time of our lives. Everyone was nice, accommodating and it was extremely comfortable. The rooms are slightly dated. However, they kept them in good condition and clean.
