"The exterior was deceiving as it looks pretty run down. The actual rooms were nicely renovated with great bedding and very comfortable. A bit pricey for the stay, but not sure what the competition is in the area. "

"Our stay at the 1926 Guesthouse was amazing. The house is beautiful and exactly as described. Our host, Heidi, was incredible to work with and communication was excellent. The check in process was seamless and the key placement when leaving the house is a great idea . The house is more than adequate to host a family or a group gathering. The kitchen is spacious and is stocked with necessary items. The handheld garment steamer is a fantastic amenity, it was a pleasant surprise to see it on the hallway table, we used it for several items of clothing! "A perfect place, centrally located, and lots to do in the Decorah area. The house had everything we needed, and it was very clean and comfortable. The hosts, Amy and Jackson, were very responsive, and check-in was effortless. I highly recommend this property. If you are adventurous, you can drive up to “Pikes Peak” State Park in McGregor, Iowa, with its breathtaking views of the Mississippi River. Or drive over to La Crosse, Wisconsin, for a paddle Boat ride on the Mississippi. There’s plenty to do in town, with a great variety of restaurants and shopping options.We are looking forward to returning in April. "
