I'm going to rate this stay in two parts. As for the owner, Terri, and the property itself, 5 out of 5. As for the Evolve Travel Team, the ones they use to process your payment, etc, I would rate them less than 0 out of 5. They were so bad that I will likely never stay at another VRBO that uses this company. To say we experienced problems would be an understatement. But the owner, Terri, was fantastic. Sometimes unavoidable things happen, I get it. The heating system broke, but Terri did everything she could; she arranged for an HVAC tech to show up the next day (unfortunately he couldn't fix the system), had space heaters delivered to the property, she reimbursed me for the fire logs I purchased, and she offered to refund the first night. She was responsive, apologetic, and understanding. She was awesome and helped salvage our vacation. Evolve, they were a disaster. I have never seen a company as inept and incompetent as them. Terri told them to refund our first night, what did they do, charged my account 5 MORE TIMES! I spent most of my vacation on the phone trying to fix their mistake. For the record, he we are over two weeks later and they STILL haven't refunded our first night. I wish I could post the emails / texts. They left me no choice but to file complaints. Nothing but excuses from them, now they won't even respond. I would gladly give Terri my business, but not Evolve. VRBO should ban that company from doing business on their platforom.
