"I can’t say enough, how much we thoroughly enjoyed our four days at this hotel. It is a very unassuming hotel, but the staff are absolutely lovely. The buffet breakfast while not spectacular did the trick every morning. There is always someone cleaning something. The location is absolute perfection. You are about a three minute walk to such a beautiful beach. If you are lucky enough, you will have a room that overlooks that beach. There is a lovely pool area and many options for lounging and getting some well-deserved vitamin D. There are two restaurants, literally around the corner and you are about a three minute walk from the hub of activity of the old town, but far enough away to not be impacted by the activity and the noise of that area. It is also centrally located to everything else that you might want to see in the Algarve‘s. Lagos is a 40 minute drive as is Tavira."

"We had a fabulous holiday at Hotel Sol m Mar. It is the best hotel in the old town of Albufeira. Every room has a view of beach with beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The hotel breakfast had lots of choices with again views of the beach and sea! We traveled in early October and less crowded in the restaurants and bars. The bedrooms were comfortable with a safe AC and fridge. Comfortable bed and linens. Would have liked thicker towels though. Cleaned everyday and lovely staff! The seafood is amazing in Albufeira! Lots of walking and felt very safe! Over all excellent but one thing we didn’t know is the beach lounges are not part of the hotel and are €10 person for the day but worth it! Also deposit of €10 for a beach towel but fine with that. Service excellent on the beach plus I got 2 Thai massages in the week and good price and excellent massage! Also we got a prearranged shuttle to the hotel and back which was great value and service. If flight is delayed they will still be there to get you to the hotel. Ask hotel about service and they will give you the link to book. We will be definitely back next October to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary! And lastly the weather was fabulous 25-27C and sunny and comfortable at night with a light sweater if needed! Perfect vacation for us!"

"I had a great stay here! The accommodation was lovely, and the location was perfect. It’s conveniently located close to the Old Town, and if you want to explore the New Town, it’s around a 15-minute walk or just a 5-minute taxi ride away. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was even given a complimentary upgrade at check-in, which was such a lovely surprise! As a solo female traveller, feeling safe and comfortable is really important to me, and this accommodation exceeded my expectations. I felt safe and secure throughout my stay, and the staff were attentive, looked out for me and made me feel genuinely comfortable. I would definitely recommend this accommodation, especially to anyone travelling solo. Great location, lovely staff and a really positive experience overall. I would happily stay here again!"

"What a wonderful stay we had at Casa Madura!The rooms were spotlessly clean. The host was excellent -very friendly, efficient and professional. She explained everything clearly and was flexible to our needs.The location could not have been better. We had a lovely view of the sea from the 2nd floor living space, and an even better view from the roof terrace.We were in a quiet, cobbled street, just a few minutes walk from the lively bars and restaurants.The beds were comfortable and the temperature of the rooms suited everyone well.Although we loved our stay, we all agreed that the property wouldn’t be suited to families with very young children or elderly people with mobility issues due to the stairs. Music can be heard from the bars until well after midnight, but this did not bother our group.We would love to go back one day!"
