"After a very difficult experience at another hotel, Expedia relocated us to the DoubleTree by Hilton, and the difference was remarkable. The staff was welcoming, professional, and made the check-in process smooth and stress-free. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel had a pleasant atmosphere, and we especially enjoyed the breakfast and the overall quality of the service. Everyone we interacted with was courteous and helpful. Our family had a very comfortable stay, and we truly appreciated the hospitality after such a stressful evening. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Richmond area."

"I love Holiday Inn Express. Staff is super helpful and kind. They let us check in almost 4 hours early. I was so grateful for that as we had red eye flight and were exhausted. We checked in and went straight to bed for a long nap."

"A very acceptable stay for the price. The staff was friendly and professional, and the outside and room were clean. However, this is an older, worn hotel in need of updating. It also appears that the new management is only making the necessary repairs at this time - for example, they had replaced some of the tiles in the bath surround with white tiles but did not do the entire surround, so parts were different colors. One bed felt very new and the other bed was almost at the end of its life. Many places outside needed painting. The TV is very small. But everything worked and it was quiet. Cold AC, clean fridge/microwave, good water pressure in the shower. A decent place to sleep for a night or two, but be aware that the price reflects some need for updating."
