Nice apartment; difficult communications

The apartment itself is clean and nice (though there was a pile of sand on the floor in the corner of the living room) and we were greeted with basic toiletries and a lovely bottle of wine. Unfortunately communicating with the property management was very stressful. No info from them about how to check in until last minute, very slow responses via VRBO app (like more than 24 hours even when messaged in the middle of a business day) to our inquiries, very slow or no responses to inquiries sent via What'sApp as they suggested we should do, and they wanted us to wire them the payment via bank transfer instead of taking payment via VRBO app as our booking indicated should happen. I would not book a place managed by this group again.
