The space
Located in a very quiet pedestrian street, where only the cars of the neighbours pass.

House from the beginning of the 20th century, completely renovated in 2013.

Portbou is located in the north of the Costa Brava, in the Alt Empordà region.

It is a border town that borders the French region of Roussillon.

It occupies the eastern end of the southern slope of the Albera massif, the last stretch of the Pyrenees before reaching the sea.

It is framed in a steep landscape, harsh in the mountainous part but of incomparable beauty in the coastal area due to the quality and transparency of the waters.

It is located 65 km from Girona and 165 km from Barcelona. Perpignan is 50 km away.

Portbou is known for being the place where the German philosopher Walter Benjamin died in 1940. Near the cemetery there is a monument in his honor, designed by Dani Karavan.

In Portbou you can enjoy the tranquility of a small town not yet conquered by large tourist groups.

Its transparent waters also make it a paradise for divers.

And in less than 10 minutes on foot you reach small, almost deserted coves.

From Portbou, by sea, you can easily reach the nature reserve of Cap de Creus and Banyuls, and the small French fishing villages of PortVendres and Cotlliure. In Peralada there is a casino, a spa and a golf course.
