"Central location - within 10-15 mins you are by the river, and just a few minutes away from the famed Lello library and Sao Bento station . It is steps away from the Aliados metro - which is great if you are taking transit to/from the airport. The room was clean and quiet which I appreciate. I like that it is located away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. Would happily stay here again."

"Excellent view from room, nicely located hotel, great reception staff who were very helpful. However…. Food and beverage experience let it down. No flexibility with menu in restaurant, extremely small glass of wine in rooftop bar which was extortionate for a house wine. Breakfast area was uncomfortable, more like a busy airport cafe and everyone on their phones so no relaxation or special feel. The bed sheets were polyester mix so we were itching all night."

"This was a last minute stay for us as our plans changed due to a forest fire in the Douro valley. The hotel room was very clean but unfortunately the shower didn’t work when we arrived, the fault was quickly fixed when we reported it to reception although I had to go downstairs for this as the room phone didn’t work. Breakfast was ok, it was unlabelled which made it much more difficult for me to find items to suit my dairy intolerance and I wasn’t confident in the quality of staff advice when I asked for help. I found enough food but it meant my choices were very limited. Clear allergy labelling and/ or an allergy folder or information sheet on allergens in standard items for customers would really help with this. Staff were very helpful in taking care of our bags and we enjoyed exploring the local area, especially the botanical gardens. We also went to the Casa da Musica for a performance by the Symphonic Orchestra and this was totally amazing, I highly recommend. All in all, this hotel was good value but could be better with slightly more attention to details and allergy information."
