"I can't say enough about how beautiful the grounds and scenery are. The staff were all incredibly polite and our room was spacious. The only issue was arriving to a room full of mosquitoes, and we woke up with a bunch of bites despite keeping the windows and door closed. The rest of our experience was so good that I'd still recommend it without hesitation. Just maybe pack extra repellant!"

Die Gastgeberin war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit.In der schönen Ferienwohnung ist alles vorhanden, was man zum Wohlfühlen braucht.Fahrtzeit nach Pisa 1 Stunde 45 Minuten und Florenz 1 Stunde 25 Minuten. Nachts die Serpentinen hoch ist ein kleines Abenteuer, da allerhand Wild unterwegs ist."

Had a supermarket, bar gelateria and pizzeria, Lucca was 5 miles away, and Pisa about 20.....both well worth a visit. Overall a relaxing, stress free break. "

We also arranged for her to cook a celebration meal one night which was exceptional, genuine local products, her own cheese and a real flavour of Tuscan cookery. I can't recommend this place and Monica enough. "

"Paolo’s property was perfect for me and my family. It is clean, spacious and very well presented. It is a perfect location for exploring the Garfagnana region and close to plenty of local amenities. "The hotel was above expectations. Exceptional staff on Reception and in the Breakfast Room. The bedroom was superb with the en-suite having extra additions such as the make up mirror. The location is excellent as situated ten minutes from the railway station and five minutes to the walled city. Thank you for a great stay. "

"Hotel San Marco was a wonderful place to stay in Lucca. The location is great—just a short walk from the beautiful walled city, making it easy to explore. The swimming pool was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after sightseeing. Fabio at the front desk was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and even taught us a few phrases in Italian. He also gave us great recommendations for places to eat inside the walled city, which turned out to be some of our favorite meals in Lucca. The lady at the snack bar and breakfast service was equally delightful, always courteous and providing exceptional service that made mornings feel special. Hotel San Marco offered both comfort and genuine hospitality, making our time in Lucca even more memorable."
