Only stayed one night in a standard double room, but it’s easily the best nights sleep I’ve ever had! Absolutely stunning rooms, views and interiors and the amenities in the room were top class. Can’t recommend a stay here highly enough if you’re looking for a peaceful break.

The staff were absolutely amazing. So friendly and talkative. The main building itself and the breakfasts we had were superb. The let down was the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. We found lots of dust and hair, plus mold around the window and on the bathroom tiles.

Our room was large and quite cool. The bathroom was great: large space, efficient shower. The staff were very helpful, bringing us an ironing board which we didn’t in the end need. Breakfast and evening meal serving staff very pleasant and again helpful. Breakfast was good, well cooked and tasty.

There is a golf course on site which means the golfers enter the building at times which creates mess on the floor apart from that room breakfast and evening meal were lovely.

Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at. Food at breakfast was very nice 👍

Room was lovely and well kept but could do with more hangers and maybe a bigger fan (equipped with one small fan) as the room did get quite warm at night. The shower also didn't seem to have much hot water however felt refreshing after a warm night! The staff were really friendly and helpful , the food was great and the manor was really well decorated. The views out were lovely and we highly recommend it. Especially if you want a quiet friendly get away and only 2 mins from dartmoor zoo

This is a lovely place to stay. The staff are very attentive and friendly, breakfast was excellent with good quality products…. I didn’t have dinner at the hotel, but the menu is varied and the people I saw eating seemed to be enjoying themselves. It’s less than 10 mins from the A38, through country lanes which makes you feel as if you are a lot farther from the hustle and bustle than you actually are…..a gem of a find and I will be back….
